Journey to the Center of Lore
I'm not sure what's happening with the ley lines but I have to figure it out before it disrupts all the magic on Lore. Maybe you could bring this letter to the Tower of Magic and see find out that they have learned while I perform more tests. Let me know if you are ready to go.
We will need one of Cysero's Solution to get to the center of lore. You can find him here in town in his magical smithy / bakery.
Please hero, meet me at the site of the Jusgedonwifit.

The Crystallized Mana Construct has been defeated and I can feel the flow of mana becoming more stable by the second, but there are still unanswered questions. How was it created? Was it the cause or result of the instability? Perhaps we'll never know.

Amberheart Watchtower has fallen! Vormund Vigil-Keeper, its commander, sent me this letter before he dissappeared. I never thought it would come to this. His guards manned the tower for decades, one of a network of sentries ready to warn Lore should Chaos mass an all-out assault! Now, Chaos has taken them all. I need you to discover their fate!
Talk
Amberheart Watchtower has been guarded by the Blades of Order for centuries. My old friend, Vormund, took up the Commander's post here when it became apparent that Chaos' power was increasing. With this attack, Drakath's impatience is clear. Many battles are in your future, Hero.

Letter from:

Blue Mage
As I write, the screams of my men rise up from the training grounds below. If I close my eyes, I can see them falling to their knees, heads in their hands. When they look up… through the smoke and anarchy, I can see they are not the boys I trained to guard our world.Tentacles wrap their forearms, fusing their hands to hilts. Eyes - always watching, looking everywhere - appear like cancers, like pustules all over their bodies. And the laughter…
The sound of their laughter sears my soul. I weep for what they were… and what has become of my mission. I broke away from the battle against my lieutenant and ran up to the records room. As I write this, the wound in my side grows hotter. I will not last much longer.
I hope you read this, Warlic, my friend. Remember our school days, when I told you I was smarter than you? Lie 1. And later, when we crossed Lore battling each other and ourselves, you claimed I would never best you in combat. Lie 2.
But this, now… you said you would always come when I needed you. Yet you aren't here. I never thought that would be Lie 3. Please, hurry! Every Blade of Order will have been Chaorrupted by now. I am too strong to give in to Death, and I can't bear the thought of serving our most hated enemy.
I go now, back downstairs, back to the training ground. To the killing ground. I will fight them all - my men, my friends - because they do not deserve this fate. And neither do I. When you get here - if you do - nothing will be left for you except this wreck of a once-proud watchtower.
Please, light the beacon! Summon aid and warn the world. Amberheart has fallen. Chaos is coming!

Answers
<Hero>:
Could the Dragon of Time have stopped Sepulchure if he wanted to?
Could it? Peharps. Did it? No. Was there a deliberate reason for its inaction? Yes.
<Hero>:
How was the Dragon born, or was he always there?
One's perception defines an object's existence, but I believe all things have beginning AND an end.
<Hero>:
Why is the Dragon of Time different from others Chronodragons?
Because it is THE Dragon of Time, not A Dragon of Time. Just like the sun Lore revolves around is THE sun to us, but just A sun for those on other worlds, in other timestreams.
The Blue Mage
It’s been a long time since we first met, my friend. After much deliberation, I think it’s time for me to pass on what I know to you. You’ve seen enough positive and negative in the world to decide for yourself, and I think these skills would aid in fulfilling your destiny.
It’s time for you to become an Archmage.

It's a thoughtful gift, I really appreciate it.
It's exactly what I needed.
It's exactly what I was looking for.

It's not exactly what I was hoping for, but I appreciate the thought.
It's not exactly what I was looking for, but I'm grateful nonetheless.
It's not my style, but I'm sure someone else will enjoy it
It's not my usual taste, but I can see the effort that went into it.
It's not quite what I was expecting, but I'm sure it will come in handy eventually.

That meat-eor from the Plane of Breakfast really did a number on Battleon. We've started the rebuilding process, but there is still a long way to go. The more gold and building supplies that we can get to the Construction Sneevils, the better! The Giant ChickenCow has been defeated, but is still hanging around in Meateor-town. Talk to Cysero and then go to the cliff and
you'll see the high-steaks Chickencow boss battle waiting for you.
Gold Donation?
That’s a really generous offer! It’s going to take a lot to fund the repairs, but we ALWAYS come back better than before. Buying building supplies beats direct donations. Much more useful. Spend your gold on supplies in my shop. The more you buy, the more new features we can unlock as we plan the rebuild next week. If you, personally, purchase 15 Million Gold worth of supplies I'll even give you a swanky badge! (Note: these supplies will not take up any inventory spaces. They’ll go straight to the Construction Sneevils and will increase the Reconstruction Meter floating up above my head and to the right.)

Merry Frostval, my friend. Sora and the other professors asked me to open a portal that connects Battleon to Dragonrune Hall. Our students wanted to join the caroling and gift wrapping workshop Serenity is organizing. If you'd like, Sora has gifts for anyone who would like to participate. She's waiting for you through the portal in the academy's feasting hall. They're throwing a Frostval party. Family and friends are invited. Why, of course you qualify.
Holidays
Will I be joining the caroling? When it comes to festivities, I refrain from joining. My presence is…quite serious. It makes others tense, so I spent the holidays in the Magic Shoppe or in my study at Dragnonrune Hall. Due to recent events, I was planning to step away from the public eye completely. It was Sora and the students that urged me to help with the Frostval events. I confess that I felt a sense of relief when I heard them knocking.
Attractions
I've been absent from Dragonrune Hall for a while. Upon my brief return, the students bombarded me with requests to allow shops and restaurants to open near the campus. It would be an academy town of sorts, and students wouldn't need this portal to Battleon to enjoy their free time. Businesses are already sending us requests for permits. An Academy View Inn is already on the list of approved. It'll be helpful for visitors.
Travels
I see that many are traveling through Battleon, stopping for the holidays. Many travelers, our alumni included, visit often seeing as there's always an event happening during any season. Though I wonder… Hans spoke about this to me too. A large number of travelers have passed through Battleon, and disappeared. It's easy to lose track of people in Lore, so I could be overthinking what could be a rash of incognito siestas.

PTM?
The Personal Toxin Monitor - PTM for short - is a bit of technology Lim is developing to help us suvive out here. It will measure the amount of toxin you've been exposed to; when you've reached your limit it will turn black. ArchMage and Elemental Mastery Professor
Greetings, Hero! I am delighted to see your interest in magic. As Dragonrune Hall's Element Mastery Professor, I can train you in the 4 Elements of Magic: Water, Fire, Air, and Earth. If you wish to become a powerful mage, it is essential that you understand and master these 4 Elements.
Wizard U?
Despite magic being…well, magical… the 4 Elements are derived from fundamental powers of which everything in Lore is compromised. The Elements of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth seamlessly work together and against one another, creating what is known as an Elemental Circle. The Elemental Fire overpowers Earth, but is weak against Water. Earth is strong against Air, but falls to Fire. Air dominates Water, but is no match for Earth. Water drenches Fire, but is bested by Air.
This may seem intimidating at first, but as an ArchMage, I am fully capable of teaching you Elemental Mastery. The magical attributes you currently harness is a great starting point, so you will catch on quickly. Perhaps one day, you too will be an ArchMage like myself. Let's begin!

Glace's tomb is hidden to protect her remains from necromancers, and to ensure her rest is respected by her kin. Glace was half-Elf and half-human, as are many who live in the Cryostorm Tundra. The tomb began to breathe out gusts of frigid air. It tinges any exposed skin blue. Did the necromancers succeed in raising Glace's corpse? No…they invited spirits from the netherworld to fight over the right to use Glace's body as a vessel. Fimbul, the Endless Winter, triumphed. I know little of this entity, but we must prepare. I'll have Neveya and Maedoc aid me in erecting a barrier. For now, rest and gather your strength.

We all have room to learn, even me.Glace
How much do you know about Glace, the first Champion of Ice? Though powerful, she is remembered for her kindness and knowledge. Lands encased in snow can be unforgiving, but Glace taught her mortal kin how to survive. She destroyed threats that kept the Ice Elves in caves, and encouraged the growth of Kyanos' heart. It is thanks to her that Winter is a season and not an eternity.Tomb
Glace's tomb is hidden to protect her remains from necromancers, and to ensure her rest is respected by her kin. Glace was half-Elf and half-human, as are many who live in the Cryostorm Tundra. That invited the ire of the more traditional full-blooded Elves, and the suspicion of humans who knew little about them. In the last years of her life, she went into solitude to ensure that Cryostorm would be protected from harassment.Students
I no longer feel that it is safe for me to continue teaching at Dragonrune Hall. My power invites too much attention from both Evil and Good. It pains me to abandon my students, and I know Tara is lonely when you're busy. This visit should raise our spirits, but I should think of a way to solve this problem from afar. I wish I could wish you a pleasant springtime, *Hero* but in light of recent discoveries, we’re going to need to set the festivities aside for now. I’ve been using the samples you collected so far to scan Lore for any more Freggments. I’m sorry to say, but there’s quite a few remaining. Would you mind picking them up for us?
C2C?
To be quite honest, I’m not much for cooperation when it comes to my studies. But when a meat-eorlogical event of this magnitude shakes Lore, even magic and science can come together to investigate. Whispers between you and me, I’m mostly here to keep the peace. You know how Lim and Cysero get with their ‘experiments’ …
Scanning?
While you were distracting Cysero, I had time to analyze the Freggment samples, and craft a spell to detect anything giving off similar energy signatures around the planet. It seems the meat-eor’s impact was even stronger than we thought- some pieces of the rock flew huge distances, and now they’re all across Lore!
Why?
It seems that Cysero wasn’t completely open with you about the potential these Freggments hold. They are far more than space rocks… they seem to be charged with raw power from the Plane of Breakfast itself. If they were to remain on Lore, the power they could release - or worse, infuse into monsters - would be devastating. We must bring them back at all costs!

Fantastic work! Now we can truly begin our research. With the discoveries we hope to make, Lore will never have to fear the threat of a giant ChickenCow again. And if one does happen to land… well, at least we’ll know how to make it taste absolutely delicious when we do slay it.

I will do what I can to defend Battleon while guiding Tara and Aria. We must be careful not to let them overexert themselves- Aria's health could regress, and I fear those watching us will find an excuse to harm you or Tara if you use your… unique abilities. These Shadows came from Voidstar's plane, but he has completely retreated into it, cutting off contact with the other Avatars for reasons unknown. Could it have something to do with this?
Avatars
From the few words I could gather from individual Avatars, there are no plans to meet at the Firmament in the near future. They must believe that calling out Lady Neso's lie after being contacted by the Old Worlds' Order prompted her extreme response. Overall, it seems that they're wary about taking any sort of action, lest they too be Silenced. This cannot be said for Voidstar and Haeos, however, who have cut off all communication with the others.
Voidstar
This is a theory, but I believe what is spilling from the Eclipse originated in the Plane of Darkness. No…it's more complicated than that, and could be the reason why Voidstar keeps many secrets. By far, Voidstar is the most powerful of the Avatars, and his Plane can instantly subsume Lore if a portal is opened to it. But why? Did he somehow create this situation or could these Shadows have infested the Darkness against his will?

I am glad you're here to act as our bodyguard. Having to prevent Artix from slaying the undead bands has been distracting me from our performances. The Skull Dome has rules against harming the audience and other bands in non-musical ways, though none about plagiarism. It makes little sense, but I don't frequent these types of events. Perhaps Nythera risks her life every time she attends concerts like these and I just never knew.

Knowledge of our operations is to be kept as closely guarded secrets. I created a barrier that will cloak our location, and repel uninvited guests. Even the Avatars won't be able to eavesdrop. A smaller barrier can be created locally. Tara has been practicing so you can dodge their eyes, and potentially the Old Worlds' Order's. I have doubts that the Mana Core constantly requires their complete attention.Avatars
The Avatars know that you are the Eternal Dragon of Time. Did you elaborate any further than that? No? That is fortunate. It took time for them to stomach my existence, and some may feel threatened if they knew the full extent of your powers. The Old Worlds' Order merely sharing a warning with them is worrisome. I will attempt to visit the Avatars, but hold your breath. They have become elusive.Flame

But so far, no one has been able to get close enough to it to thoroughly report back.
Toxic Fumes
The toxic fumes that are spilling out of the Rift are forcing us to keep our distance - we've set up camp as close as we can get without being affected by it. To be safe, I've been keeping the monsters and fumes at bay with magic wards around the perimeter.

Welcome to The Span, Hero. This city is a solidified illusion, brought from a place you'll never go. It is the replica of a place once known as Tibattleonia, and existed on a Lore much like this one but in a very, very different time. Time is of the essence, in this city and in your life. I was created at the same time the town was, and our creator has much to say to you.
I am not who you think I am, Hero. But I expect you already guessed that. Ask your questions, and I will do my best to answer. Just as the man I resemble would.
Golem?
Yes, I am a golem, as are all of the people here. Our creator designed us to resemble people you would have known had you existed in alternate dimensions. There are many instances of reality, Hero; your existence as YOU has happened before, is happening now on other timelines, and will happen again.
Timelines?
This world, your Lore, was created in a catacylsmic battle between… no, you will learn that soon. All you need to know for now is that your world is made up from many parts, incorporated many universes at different points in time. Each of those timelines was an instance of the same world, with each of them going in different directions.
Purpose?
I cannot tell you why those worlds were combined. I cannot tell you why you need to know all of this. I am a guide on this chaotic journey, and may soon be replaced by another.
Chaos?
Yes, Chaos. It pervades your world. It taints the creatures which live here, and their actions. Be wary, Hero, of those who play with timey-wimey things. … I don't know what that means, either. It's just something HE says.

I wish I could thank you for freeing me under less dire circumstances. Though the effects of the corruption have healed, we likely will not meet again. I wanted to talk to you one last time before meeting with the Avatars. Then it will be necessary for me to leave. I do not cast spells as others do. Malgor taking control of me through my emotions has permanently scarred that ability. It could be disastrous if I used magic again…
Contingency Plans
Malgor targeted me for two reasons. He was displeased that I had power, and did very little in ways of contributing to ending Lore's conflicts. Malgor also discovered that Swordhaven's leaders asked me for help. I could guide them and develop spells to protect their people. The altruistic nature of the request soon fell to the wayside, and the base of my research was used to create dangerous weaponry.
Stability
I do not think in terms of what I can do with my power. I worry about keeping myself from losing control. Power is a responsibility, not a blessing. And when it comes to magic and the cosmos, mistakes can happen without us realizing. I will speak hypothetically. If a Being that controlled a major element of Lore were to go through mental strain, they could accidentally manifest maelstroms, disasters and…monsters.
Goodbyes
Only you and the Avatars know of my intentions to go into hiding. I was too lax, allowing myself the luxury of being surrounded by friends. I put you all in danger because of my selfishness. There isn't time to explain in depth, but if you did not rescue me, even Malgor would not know the extent of the damage I could cause. Just having my presence known attracts those who seek to use that power. I can't let it happen again.

I'm glad you've returned, my friend. I'm sure you have questions. Ask, quickly, and then I need to return to my research. The Titans will return soon, and in our current state, this will be their last invasion. With any luck, I may be able to discover some counter to Drakath's tincture before our defenses run out.
Counter?
With a few samples from the fallen monstrosities, I've been able to study some of the magic Drakath used to create the Titan's Tincture. If I had more time and resources, I think I could develop a way to elevate our warriors to the same level. Or, perhaps completely undo the transformation. That is assuming we can hold out until then, of course…
Blue Mage with a Breakthrough
You’ve arrived too early, Hero! How are we to face the titans if you haven’t prepared us first? Return to base camp, quickly- the AntiTitan Alliance needs you!

After completing the 'Titanic Terror Times Two' quest:
Blue Mage with a Breakthrough
My answer to the Titan's Tincture is almost complete, but there's only so much I can do on my own. With the Titans barreling down on us, we'd be lucky to survive long enough for me to find replacements for the missing reagents. Luckily, the things I do need are found in the invading forces you'll need to repel. I believe our ingredient issue is a self-correcting problem at this point!
Potion
The problem with recreating the Titan's Tincture isn't the majority of its ingredients. Those are all fairly simple potions Alina always has in stock. The issue stems from one ingredient: the raw Chaos energy used to twist the bodies and minds of those who consume it. It doesn't exist in Lore -at least, not anywhere we can get it- so we'll need to use something else.
Substitute
A perfect counter to a tonic made from pure Chaos is one made from pure Order. To create something like that, though, I would need the power of the three main allegiances of Lore: Good, Evil and Chaos. Normally, you'd need to go on a long journey to find perfect samples of each one… but thanks to Drakath's ‘recruitment drive', everything we need is right here on the battlefield.
After completing the 'Topple some Titans!' quest:
Blue Mage with a Breakthrough
I've never felt so much raw power emanating from anything before… It's as if we are facing the entirety of Chaos itself compressed into one man. But now, having imbibed MY version of the tincture, you're filled with enough power to take him on.
Heroic Tincture?
Instead of the raw Chaos from Drakath's version, I've added my own secret ingredient. I used the light and darkness essence you brought me to create a magnifier of my own… a representation of the Alliance itself. While it will still improve your attributes, the potion should still allow you to retain your mind and reason.

Each of the sigils required a vast amount of mana to inscribe. A mage would need to slowly accumulate mana, use a 'battery' of sorts to power them, or strike a deal with a nefarious entity. Did the culprit choose to enact their plan on Mogloween so the sigils would blend in with the decorations? No, you noticed fairly quickly and I believe Serenity would have suspected them as well. Then, this was a spur-of-the-moment plan.
Dark Nature
The spell that threatens Battleon is unrelated to Darkness and Necromancy. Though, it does have deep ties to death. As you described it, the spell will produce 'people soup' that is meant to be absorbed into the earth and nourish nature. Vibrant forests will spring from the earth and raise new life. All forms of life are paid for with death. The remains of those who once lived will nourish the soil for those who will live.
Serenity
With a brief glance, Serenity was able to deduce the classification of the sigil and spells. That shouldn't be common knowledge but I suppose an array of visitors frequent the inn. She could have overheard a conversation on that subject…Were you aware that she has no memories of her childhood? Yulgar and Aria gave her a place to stay after she was found unconscious in the woods. She has since made Battleon her home, but if she does become curious about her origins, I'm sure you would help her.
After completing the 'The Fruits of Labor' quest:
The Blue Mage
Another catastrophe has been averted thanks to your efforts and Serenity's. Battleon’s people and roads have changed since I last took a stroll. It’s a shame I didn’t decide to explore earlier. There's character in every nook and cranny, reminding me why you and I must stay vigilant. Life, vibrant as it is, can be easily destroyed. But for now, let me take care of the long night. Go, enjoy your frights and candy.

ArchMage
Ah, my friend, I've been waiting for you. Welcome and well met. I knew you'd be around, and I sense you've met with Cysero. This must be the boy, Conn, yes? Good. You'll be wondering, I think, why the four of us are here, and not wherever the stolen ones are, yes? I will tell you, but after that, you must make sure to deliver my letter to the Dutchess. She waits on vital knowledge.
Not Stolen?
If my theory holds, and I suspect it does, given the evidence, Cysero and I are too… unpredictable in the way we utilize magic. The results would be too unreliable. Young Conn, from what I have heard, is unusually strong… When he is able to perform magic. Without a focus stone, he cannot access the ley lines, so he is, for the moment, unacceptable. If my theory is correct. And you, Hero…
What Knowledge?
You have used both magical and physical strength in your journeying. But that is not, I think, what has kept you safe in this instance. Rather, your real power lies in the ability to impact the future of Lore. Tampering with YOU could alter everything. Perhaps that possibility was one even our unknown villian did not want to chance. We are none of us easily or predictably controlled, and that has kept us safe.
Blue Mage Golem
Isolated pockets of spacetime may develop at random, and contain unknown dangers. This one appears to allow you to go back in time and battle Chaos Beast Kathool OR Chronomancer Iadoa. Because they are disconnected from reality, these battles should not affect what has already happened.

Hero! I am glad that you arrived safely. Xan has disappeared, and I cannot track his location by any means, magical or otherwise. I fear what Xan will do once he learns you've escaped. He is… unstable. To put it bluntly, his mind is consumed by a molten madness. We will have to tread carefully from here on out. Who knows what incendiary incidents he'll bring about?
Who is Xan?
Xan and I were once students together. We were both talented beyond the rest of the students and we competed in all things, but none more fiercely than for Jaania. There was an accident. Please don't ask me about the details but I was forced to save Xan's life the only way I could think of…Flames consumed Xan's body, but before he could die, I reached out and tapped into raw elemental magic. I transformed those flames into healing flames. They still burn like fire but they keep Xan alive. His hatred for me plus constantly having his flesh healed and burned away at the same time has driven him mad. I am responsible for the pyromancer.
The accident that caused Xan's condition also sealed Jaania into a magic crystal. She is living, maybe even a ware, but I cannot free her. I have been searching for years but I cannot find a safe way to free Jaania or cute cure Xan but I will not stop looking until I succeed, die or Xan takes his revenge on me.
Message from the ArchMage
I am a representation of Warlic, the ArchMage, with a message for you. If you value the Alliance's efforts, he needs your help to locate Xan the Pyromancer! The firemage is missing, and it is feared that Chaos is using his powers! We need him on OUR side!

It's been 20 years of fond memories and irreplaceable moments. There's no greater magic than that, Hero. I greatly look forward to your future adventures with us.

Before completing the 'Confront Jir'abin' quest:
My friend, we are in terrible danger! I a new species of Void creatures appeared suddenly. No one knows from where, but we have seen the beast commanding them - a Void dragon greater than any save Nythera. And she… will not say anything to me about this. So we must drive them out. But we are not without help!
My friend, we are in terrible danger! I have foreseen a new species of Void creature about to appear. I cannot tell from where, but I have seen the beast commanding them - a Void dragon greater than any… possibly including Nythera. I queried her, but she… will not say anything to me about this. So we must drive them out. I sense help is on the way… soon.

Blackhorn is one of the oldest tombs that the Darkblood know of. They have not used it for hundreds of years so there might be some very dangerous monsters who claimed it as their home. Be on your guard. I'll stay here and drive off any intruders.
- Za'Nar RaresTalk
A number of Magi arrived, drawn to DragonRune Hall, where many of the Void creatures are clustered. I sense much power within them, and better yet - they are familiar with Jir'abin. They and the other magi of their world have fought him for… I do not recall how long.Go. Meet with them. We should discuss how to combat these creatures. If they need anything to aid in our fight, I know you will help them!
