Hunt for the Infinity Codex

Vortex Mages trapped here have stolen the pages of the Infinity Codex. Slay them to recover its pages to learn what you'll need to do in order to pass through the wormhole.

Restore the obelisks of the 8 gods and goddesses to unlock the gates. survive the battles and judgement ahead to prove you have the blessings of Isis, goddess of protection… are pure enough to please Kebechet… will serve Ma'at, goddess of justice… and live by the creed of Thoth, god of wisdom. Honor Nut, goddess of the stars, Ra, god of the sun, Horus, god of the sky, and Khonsu, god of the moon. Do this, and you shall live to see the other side of the Vortex.

Sacrific and Survival

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

To survive, you will need to prove your worth… and it doesn't hurt to come bearing a gift or two as you enter the gods' domain. Sacrific 3 Nagas and 3 Hawks to ask for their blessing.

Well done, my friend. Were we on Lore, the smoke from the fires would rise to the sky, bearing good smells and good intent. We know they would be pleased. Here… I can only assume they are, as well.

The Cartouche of Isis

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

If you would activate the Gate of Isis, you will need to recover the Balm Cartouche. Isis, the mother goddess, was known for her healing ways. Look closesly into the Goblins' pots, and you'll find balm… and the Balm of Cartouche.

With this cartouche, and once you locate and restore her obelisk, I am sure Isis will grant you passage through the first gate.

The Cartouche of Ma'at

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

There are many gates ahead of you. Beyond Isis' Gate lies taht of Ma'at. To pass through it, you will need to recover the 5 pieces the Scale Cartouche. I fear it was stolen by the Vortex Walkers, who wander the wormhole seeking retribution for those who imprisoned them here.

I cannot see Ma'at denying your worth… or your right to pass through the gate once her oblisk is restored.

Bound to Do Good

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

The base of the vortex gate obelisks is made of a substance called "faience" -- to restore the shattered obelisks, you will need to make more. Slay Dimensional Crystals, Gate Goblins, and Vortex Matter to get the quartz, lime, and natron to make faience.

Good, good. This will hold the shards together and gleam with an uneathly glow. So beautiful.

Note: This quest can only be completed once.

We cannot know how this obelisk was shattered or when, but if you wish to pass through the gate and continue through the wormhole, you will need to restore it. Click on Obelisk rubble until you've reassembled it.

Stick to the Task

You created enough faience for ONE obelisk. Reset assured, you WILL need more before your journey is done. There is an alternate recipe we might try… Slay Dimensional Crystals, Gate Goblins, and Vortex Matter to get the quartz, lime, and ash to make faience.

Honor the Goddess Ma'at

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.
Note: This quest can only be completed once.

The Goddess of Justice was lucky. Whatever destroyed Isis' obelisk could not shatter hers. To unlock the gate, you need only activate the obelisk. The Infinity Codex instructs you to click on the panels. Once they are lit, touch Ma'at's obelisk.

You do justice to Ma'at in the way you honor her!

Duty is light as a feather

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

It is known that as one enters the Underworld, they are judged with Ma'at's scales. A feather is weighed against the heart of the hero. If one's heart is light, they pass into the paradise beyond. Your judgement waits… and you will need to bring your own feather. Slay Vortex Hawks until you recover a Feather of Ma'at.

… But duty is heavier than a mountain. You MUST go on and face the judgement that awaits if you would recover the Infinity Shield.

Judgement... or Justice?

You may passsed through Ma'at's gate, but she is not finished with you yet! The hour of your judgement is at hand, Hero. In this trial by combat, you must defeat the Hand of Ma'at to prove you are pure of heart. If you fail… you shall never leave this place.

The Cartouche of Thoth

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

It is said that if one could gather all the books and scrolls ever written, they would know the sum of all man's knowledge. But Thoth, god of wisdom, already knows. Recover the Scroll Cartouche from the Vortex Mages. Only then will you be able to activate his obelisk.

Make Your Mark

We walk through a hall made of starstuff… built upon solidified solar winds and the remnants of stones present when this universe was formed. Honor the gods of the sun, moon, stars, and sky by inscribing their marks upon this place.

Just think, Hero. You are the first, and possible the last and only, person to have ever made space graffiti. HAH!

The Cartouche of Kebechet

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

Kebechet, mother of serpents and preserver of heroes - her cartouche is a snake. Take back the fragments of her cartouche from the Nagas who resemble her so much.

Known as the Celestial Serpent, Kebechet's waters purify, refresh, and preserve. Hers is a good blessing to have.

Honor the Goddess Kebechet

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.
Note: This quest can only be completed once.

It may be that another Hero… perhaps even another you?… attempted to pass by, and in doing so destroyed the obelisk. We may never know. But if you wish to pass through the gate and continue through the wormhole, you will need to restore Kebechet's obelisk. Click on the rubble until you've reassembled it.

Destroy to Purify

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

You are nearing the edge of the wormhole. I can sense it! But… more battles await, and you will want to prepare - and purify yourself - well for them. Slay Vortex Crystals to gather the natron needed to purify yourself before facing the Vortex Guardian.

Guardian of the Vortex

This beast appears to have been formed from the very stuff making up the wormhole itself. That's quite a feat, a we cannot touch the matter that makes it up. But rest assured, the Guardian CAN touch, and harm, YOU. Slay it quickly to pass deeper into the wormhole.

Some day I shall return here and I make a study of what, exactly, makes up a wormhole. Fortunately, I have but worlds enough and time to do just that.

Stick with it

You did not think you made enough faience LAST time, did you? Hah! These obelisks are very delicate objects, and require a great deal of glue. Slay Dimensional Crystals, Goblins, Vortex Matter to get quartz, lime, plant ash to make more of the faience I need.

Fortunately, the obelisk of Thoth SHOULD be the last obelisk we shall need to repair. The Obelisks of Ra, Horus, Khonsu, and Nut should be safe. If they are not… I fear we will have more to concern us than reassembly.
