Suki (NPC)

Wandering Ex-Paladin
S’cuse me if I talk too rough with you. I was raised on a farm and you would never see a noble milling around the wheat. Say, teach me a couple of things on the way back to Eridani. What kind of stuff do you do when you aren’t waltzing or collecting taxes? You compose music? Seriously? Does a commoner like me get to listen? Oh, it must be good if you’re getting shy all of a sudden!

Bandits
I overheard the bandits bragging that a nobleman was going to make them rich if they handed over the 'mutant brat.’ That got me seeing a type of red darker than your hair. Apologies for lashing out at you like that. I assumed all of the Astravian nobles would be as depraved at whoever was going to take that poor kid.

Seraphic Paladins
We are…Tch, I’m too used to introducing myself like that. The paladins are an ancient order I parted ways with. They’re dedicated to extinguishing evil no matter what form it takes. Or so I thought. My friend and I discovered corruption deep in its roots. He bid me a gentle farewell, knowing I couldn’t stomach how rotten they actually were. Darkon stayed behind to mend their ways. I hope he’s successful.

Motto
The inscription on my sword means 'eye for an eye.’ It’s a personal motto of mine. People say we’re all equal when we die. Then are we going to do nothing while we’re alive? Criminals, whether they’re in the dirt like me or sitting on a throne, get away with their misdeeds all the time. Someone has to balance the scales! Then, I came to Erdiani. It’s taught me that things are far more complicated beyond just good and evil.

- Suki's Quest

After completing the 'Echoes' quest:

Wandering Ex-Paladin
A Crown Prince! I wouldn’t have believed you if you told me outright in that cave. Not because you don’t look the part. It’s how thoughtful you are and how you’re willing to listen. That’s a lot coming from me. Haha, I charge head first into things and…blurt out whatever comes to mind. I really do want better things for the people, but me bumbling around won’t move a molehill. Thank you, for giving me this new chance.
