Test 1: Proving Ground

I can't believe you've reached this point. You're so close to your Mark of Mastery… there are just a few tests left. And the first is to pass through the Shifting Planes Cavern, slaying 13 of any monster plus 13 Dark Makai specifically.

Alright, that's the first test passed. We should move deeper into the cavern. The beasts are getting restless.

Test 2: Nulgath's Disdain

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

Are they… laughing at you? The spies, look at them. They're mocking you. The next test is to command respect, and there's only one way to do that. With VIOLENCE.

Slay 6 spies, 6 Dark Elementals, and 6 Cloaked Fiends to teach them how great you really are!

Nulgath must have commanded them to disrespect you. He's not making it easy on you, and clearly he thinks you'll fail. But I know what you can REALLY do.

Test 3: Bonesaw Break

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

This 3rd test sounds ominous: The Glowing Skull is the key. Get the Ultra Dark Mystery Stone Of Evil Animosity from the monsters in the Bonesaw Prison Cave fromany of the Dark Makai. I don't like the sound of that, but it DOES say the Mystery Stone will aid you. Still. You're on your own for this one!

That was… unexpected! Did YOU know they'd jump you like that? What purpose do the Dark Makais server? Perhaps we'll never know. No, of course not. Nulgath's evil plans are inscrutable to us mere mortals. (Make sure you keep the stone. You'll need it for a coming quest. If you lose it, just complete this quest again.)

Test 4: Dark Battleground

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

We've come this far. I'm not leaving your side now! But… you should really get into the fortress quickly. Something tells me Nulgath's inside, waiting for you. According to the scroll, you'll need to slay 13 of his guards to enter.

Hunh. To master the shadows, you must be able to merge them. Good thing you kept that "Ultra Dark Mystery Stone of Evil Animosity." You'll need to combine it with the Dark Elemental's "Darker Shadow Gem of Tenebrous Tenebration."

To enter Nulgath's Fortress, you must find the Rune Scroll and the… Fiend Scroll? This test seems meaningless. Unless he's just trying to wear you down. That makes sense. Says the scrolls must be taken from the monsters outside the fortress. How helpful.

Spiky Situation

Remove the Ward

The chamber of the World's Soul has a ward around it preventing anyone from entering. In order to have made it to this side of the chamber, some of these Legion soldiers will be wearing amulets that allow them to temporarily shatter the barrier. Find the amulets, and then use them near the door to take the barrier down and allow the Seraphs to pass through.
