These aren't treasure chests - they're mimics! If there are any clues to be found here, it will surely be in one of these, but we'll have to be careful.
When we first came in, it looked like one of these mimics had something inside it, but now I can't tell which one it is. Open the right one, and you'll find the clue. Open the wrong one, and you might lose an arm!

Gah! This cave is full of Jelly-like Cubes! We've got to take care of these things quickly, or they'll dissolve any evidence our culprit may have left behind!

I'm not sure there will be much left that the Jelly-like Cubes haven't dissolved, but that doesn't mean we can't get a picture of what happened here. Explore the rest of the cave, and tell me what you see.

We've explored the entire cave, and those Cubes seem to have cleared it out pretty thoroughly - all that's left is whatever is past this corridor. But we'll have to disarm that trap before we can move past it! Once you've done that, go into the chamber beyond it, and see what you find.

Just look at this cave - this has to be the place where the thief is stashing his hoard! It's covered in ice and gold! We'll have to get rid of some of these ice crystals before moving forward - they appear to be both enchanted and hostile.
The crystals are starting to reform, but we should be ok for now.

There is so much gold here, it's spilling out of the treasure room! It's drawing kobolds like flies. We can't let them take the gold - it's out responsibility to get it back to the towns it was stolen from. Grab as much as you can off the ground, and make sure these kobolds don't run off with the rest!

I've found traces of what appear to be human footprints in this cave. They're not ours, so they must belong to our thief! Follow them, and I think we'll find the culprit.
