With the fortress tethered to the ground by the Legion ballistas, their infantry have swarmed the walls like bugs. Finding the throne empty, they've started to comb the halls looking for the Emperor. Some have even found their way here. We must defeat them before they catch wind of where your father is resting. I wish to look at their weaponry as well. The key to any battle is knowing your enemy.
Compared to the Nation, I find the Legion's Lord to be…gutsy. The lower echelons of the Nation are barred from mastering the more dangerous weapons and dark arts until they prove their strength and loyalty. But these Dreadmarch, mere infantry, have been taught to be versatile in all forms of combat. Yes, it makes his armies all the more powerful, but gives the potentially disloyal the means to rebel against their master.

It seems the highly decorated of the Undead Legion have joined the search for the Emperor. Legion Dreadknights have invaded the hall. We will destroy them as we did the Dreadmarch. It's possible that, given time, what remains of the Emperor's loyal guards will hold until he can recover. Now then, Gravelyn, lead the charge. I was once a knight, and I wish to see what the knights of yore were capable of.
I heard that Dage the Evil was once a King who forsook his Kingdom for Fiendish power, not even a handful of years after his coronation. Then why do these knights, with old scarred insignias from multiple dead Kingdoms, choose to follow this Lich? Even when we have torn them limb from limb, the knights writhe on the ground and choose to fight with their teeth. What could they have to gain following a born traitor?

The Emperor's loyal warriors stand strong. I have received word from the others stationed around the fortress. The Legion has yet to locate the Emperor and are successfully being bottlenecked in the narrower of the halls. Dage the Evil is losing his best warriors en masse. We should do a scout of our hall for hidden enemies and other issues of note. Those claw marks on the walls are…curious.
I often patrol this area myself, and those claw marks weren't there before the siege. The Legionnaires couldn't have made those. None of them are particularly beastly or have brought beasts with them. Additionally, the claw marks are too small. Judging from the way the bricks have been clawed, the creature that made them wanted to get through the wall. Hmm, could I have overlooked a pest infestation problem?

For a moment, I had hoped the Legion would withdraw because the losses they were taking would soon render a possible victory too costly. It seems that to the Legion's Lord, victory is worth any cost. So many Legionnaires are being sent into the fortress that they're trampling each other. On your order, the Emperor's guards will follow your lead, combat the Legion, and toss their remains out of the windows.
Emperor Sepulchure knows the difference in value between a minion and a skilled loyalist. Minions are always needed as fodder, and those who prove themselves better will earn their polish, prestige, and be valued. You have learned this from him in lessons, but have little practice. The Lich has either never learned the basics or has lost touch completely. To be expected, considering his inherent traitorous nature.

Birds of a feather do indeed flock together. The coward turncoats have decided to show their faces. Among the Legion ranks are 'Legion DoomKnights' who have betrayed the Shadowscythe to swear loyalty to the Lich. What a farce! These Shadowscythe Traitors are lower than dogs. They don't deserve death. Gravelyn, I advise that we capture them and deal with their treachery later.
The Shadowscythe Traitors aren't just cowards. They were jealous of your father, and wanted his power for themselves. In particular, the traitors were spiteful of you because, as the Emperor's scion, you are guaranteed power and rank. I see, you were already aware of that spite, but had no means to deal with them without asking for the Emperor's aid. Ha, Dage the Evil gave you the opportunity by accident.

The Shadowscythe Traitors have much to prove to their new master. They've monopolized the frontlines of the siege, and continue to swarm us. What are your thoughts on subduing these cowards and turning them into examples? This isn't the first time upstarts have thought themselves more clever than the Emperor. Take a look at the skeletons on the walls.
Though the most notable traitor in recent memory escaped from our grasp, the skeletons you see on the wall are still sentient. They serve as examples, a message to would-be traitors to stay in line. The false Legion Doomknights will soon join them, and it will be your chance to dole out punishment. What motivates loyalty, you ask? Your father has the charisma to inspire it… but you aren't him.

Light is emerging from the dark. What in Lore… Dage the Evil has captured and enslaved Light Elementals to fight us. Beings of pure Light have the potential to maim a majority of our troops, allowing the Lich's forces to overtake the strong on sheer numbers alone! But, would this not prove dangerous for the Legion as well? Wait…one of their Generals is asking to speak to you. Is he…kneeling to you?
I would never trust the word of an enemy. Warning us of the Lich's erratic behavior does not serve their siege's purpose at all. This Rand reminds me of the old days, when Valen was a rough and tumble Champion of Good, skilled in combat but poor in etiquette. General Rand dropped his formal speech like Valen would as well. Perhaps it is because he felt more comfortable talking to you.

The siege has become more complicated than once thought. Traitors run amok, the Lord of the Legion is ailing, and his general risked themselves to warn us of something sinister lurking among the Elementals. On your orders, we will continue to defend the Emperor and take caution. Of note, the skirmishes have dislodged some of the bricks from the walls. I advise that we investigate them.
There are empty spaces behind the walls of the Emperor's chambers. Anyone that hides behind them can listen in on his conversations and watch his every move. How did this escape our notice? I will have the heads of the architects! You believe the claw marks were made by the spies? True, those markings made it seem like something knew the hidden halls were there. Who is spying on us? The rats?

Though we are besieged by the Legion, traitors, Light Elementals, and now spies, we must prioritize the worst threat. A higher Light Elemental under Dage the Evil's control has entered the hall. No doubt that Lich has located where the Emperor is. We must defeat this Elemental and check on your father's condition. We are quickly approaching a situation where retreat is our only option.
Argh! That Light Elemental wounded me. I-it feels like my body is melting… rotting into mush and leaking through my armor. But you, that elemental couldn't do anything to you? Why? Even the living can be scored and blinded by the light. It's almost as if …we defeated it too easily. Gravelyn, I can't serve the Emperor any further like this. Quickly, you must take him and leave! I hear heavy footsteps… Dage the Evil is here.

Dage the Evil has found the Emperor. Haha…The Lich strode right by us. Despite all my boasts and disparaging of the Lich, I wasn't worth a glance. That Light Elemental maimed me… I can't even stand. Gravelyn, I beseech you, do all in your power to aid your father where I failed. Save him, buy him more time to heal, anything it takes.
Something is happening to the light elementals? They're turning all sorts of colours. General Rand has rushed here. Why…what's going on? Was this entire siege staged by the…
