It appears that the Shard is deeper into this fortress. The Fiends guarding it don't know our intentions yet. Quietly take out some of these guards while we find where it's hidden.

That locked door seems promising! Let's see if we can get any information from these Fiends on how to get it open.

"Nicely" ask these Fiends how to get that door open, though I don't think they'll answer us. We'll just have to knock the information out of them. Though some Fiends might not be so willing to tell us everything. Let's find the ones that will, then!

It looks like there is a key with multiple pieces that we need to unlock that door. Looks like we'll need to find the Fiends in charge of holding them.

Key Difference Between Human and Fiend

There are four pieces to this key. You'll have to search every Fiend in this area in order to locate all of the pieces. Let's hope the Key Fragments weren't with the ones you already defeated!

I think the Fiends have finally caught on to our plan! We need to fight our way back to that door! Hurry!

Dirtlicking Guards

Note: This quest can only be completed once.

Dirtlicker seems to have caught wind of our plan as well! If we are going to make it to the Fiend Shard, we're going to have to face him. But first, the Fiend Paladin and Void Knight guards stand in our way! Take them out!

All that is left is Dirtlicker!

Defeat Dirtlicker

Dirtlicker has been busy behind Nulgath's back! He has communed with Adimonde and got a Fiend Shard himself! We have to shatter it if we have a chance of beating him!

You did it! Nulgath's Fiend Shard should be just up ahead!

Destroy the Fiend Shard

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.
Note: This quest can only be completed once.

It doesn't look like you will catch a break from these Fiends. You will have to chip away at the Fiend Shard while fighting off those Fiends!

De-shard the Shard

Requirements: Must have completed the 'Destroy the Fiend Shard' quest.

We need to keep Nulgath's shard from regenerating. If it does that, my world remains in peril! Please continue defeating Nulgath's shard. It is not an easy task, but the rewards are worth it.

The more you defeat the shard, the more thanks you accrue.

The Swirling Abyss Gathers

Requirements: Must have completed the 'Destroy the Fiend Shard' quest.

With some of the leftover remaining energy and the library at our disposal, we can probably create a “fiend” but more like a shell for you to wear! Think of it like a disguise of sorts. However, we will need to find reagents Nulgath likes to use when creating fiends before we begin with the helmets and capes.
