Through the pass

Head up into the mountains to see if you see can confirm that it is getting colder than usual. To do this, you will need to battle your way through the slowly closing mountain passes. If you can, bring back 10 Wolf Pelts so that we can examine them. If it is truly getting colder, the pelts should be thicker than before.

These are definitely thicker than before, but I don't think that wolves could make all the tracks that we have seen.

Higher Passes

Requirements: Must have completed previous quest.

The wolves pelts are definitely thicker than before. There are larger beasts than wolves roaming the mountains, but so few people return that we have not been able to get any information about them! Try to get as much information about these monsters as you can, and bring it back to me!

Bears?

Requirements: Must have completed previous quest.
Note: This quest can only be completed once.

The teeth, claw and pelts that you bought back from the higher passes suggest that the animal is a bear, but it is no bear that we have ever seen! The fur is silver and incredibly thick! See if you can find one of their dens to find out what makes them so special.

You say you've found the bears, but you also see signs of habitation in the caves ?

In the Den

Requirements: Must have completed previous quest.

Now that you have found the bears' den, go inside to see if you can find on them. This would seen to indicate that there are humans living up on the mountains with the bears! Try to find their settlement and get past their guards.

The Camp

Requirements: Must have completed previous quest.

There is an entire camp in the mountains, build around a series of hot springs? This must be how they have been able to survive, even though the weather is getting colder and colder. Perhaps the water in the springs will be able to release the cold from the Keep's stones. Speak to the inhabitants of the village to find out what they think.

Fire from the Hole

Requirements: Must have completed previous quest.

The Drumlins think that the water from the springs will help thaw the Keeps stones. Unfortunately, the springs are guarded by one of their own, but the water has had an incredible effect on him! Defeat the Ice Drumlinster to get a sack of water.

+ When Completed

You did it! Now return to the keep!
