Cleverness

As a Loremaster, you'll also need to be able to decipher clues to get what you need. To prove that you're capable, you'll need to fight an insane pyromancer and bring me a vial of his flame. That's all the information I can give you. (Remember — if you're having trouble, friends can be a valuable resource. Don't be afraid to ask your fellow heroes for help!)

Tome Recovery: Final Light I

The tome you're in search is a tale of light and dark, of Paladins and Necromancers. And it just so happens I have an idea about what took the tome! I heard a sad AROOOO and bone-rattling, then found a trail of dirt leading outside my Librarium. I bet if you take your battle underground, you'll find the pages on monsters in the area.

I'm sure after all the battling and adventures, it would be nice to lose yourself in a tale you aren't starring in. A good piece of fiction, with characters you've never heard of. You just need to fight to earn the right to /rest.

Oh… how unfortunate. We're missing almost all of the book. This looks to be only a third of the pages we SHOULD have. I have a sneaking suspicion about where the rest might be, and OOOOH, does it cause my temper to flare up. Those dwakels near the ruins are ALWAYS in search of my paper to use for tinder for their flamethrowers.

I could just scorch a skink, I get so mad when I think of people burning books. All knowledge is worth having, and only a tyrant or coalbrained coot would think to use tomes for tinder. But we lucked out, and only the edges of the pages are scorched. It looks like we just need the final chapter before you can settle down with a Good (vs Evil) book!

I've got good news for you, my friend… from Quibble Coinbiter, surprisingly enough. An adventurer who stopped by for a scroll on Skeletons heard from him that a scorched section of an unknown tome was seen in Sleuthhound Inn. Mysterious! But lucky, just the same. It means we should soon be able to piece together all the pages and let you read the entire tale.

Aaah, look! With all the pages together, this will be a shining story of valor and bravery. Meidrella is a well-known author among scribes, but not very well-known outside the Loremasters' circles. I believe you'll enjoy her tale.
