Chronomancer
We sure bunged it up this time! It's my job to maintain the Chrono-Phoenix: the part-organic, part-mechanical creature that we created to keep track of the cyclical death and rebirth of the year. But it's gone haywire, and it's trying to prevent the new year from arriving! I can't fix this by myself.
What do you think will happen?
Every year, the Chrono-Phoenix dies in flames and is then reborn from its own ashes. If that doesn't happen, its energy will overload it. The explosion could destroy the entire Frozen North. But beyond that? Gosh, I don't know. Will we be stuck in a time loop forever? Will this timeline cease to exist? I'm afraid to find out.
After completing the 'Freeze the Energy' quest:

There's something strange about this spacetime energy you collected. It all has a very specific resonance… it's very strongly connected with the year 2019. Specifically, the very last moment of 2019. That's weird, right? I don't think that's coming from the phoenix. We should figure out what's up with that, don't you think? Oh well - we'll worry about that later. For now - the phoenix!
After completing the 'Find the Phoenix' quest:

The year 2019 itself has been trying to stop out Chrono-Phoenix?! That's exciting. Of course, that means we're going to have to usher out the old year ourselves. You know what to do!
After completing the 'Close out the Year' quest:
Chronomancer
He spent his entire life trying to find out a way to immortalize himself… and still failed. That's kinda sad! But look - when we defeated him, a passageway opened. And I'm pretty sure that's where my cyborg friend ended up.
After completing the 'Freeze the Phoenix' quest:

Meet me outside! It's almost time for the new year to arrive.
After completing the 'Head Outside' quest:

Whew! That was close - I don't want to know what would have happened if we hadn't gotten the Chrono-Phoenix working again! Thanks for your help.
