First of the Hollowborn
Gramiel is a heartbroken Celestial that's feeding off the faith of his followers to avenge his lost love, Veronika. Romantic and all, but he didn't need to kidnap and transform people into monsters. Let's find him, and make him reverse what he's done.

Celestials
I know a thing or two about Celestials, but only from word of mouth and a couple of books. Until now, they've never taken an interest in us. A couple of people I know are curious about the possibility of a Hollowborn Celestial. There just hasn't been an opportunity for one to undergo the Shadow Fiend's trial. If that happened, it would surely upset their Celestial kin.

Intuition
I'm not talking about my intuition, but yours. As far as anyone else would see it, we're just going to make Gramiel see some sense. So he was a Celestial that fell in love at first sight with a mortal. So he gained an unstoppable will to avenge her by purging all evils from Lore. Is that so out of the question that it's suspicious? Yes, it is. I agree with you. I'm smiling and laughing because I truly agree with you.

Are you alright? I smothered the Priest's spell, and that won't go unnoticed. I hope you'll still be willing to let me accompany you. Now, it's pretty obvious that there's more than just Gramiel to worry about. Someone tricked him into thinking the Horcs attacked and killed Veronika, the reason he went on his zealous crusade in the first place. Whoever that was, I'm sure they're irked that their stage is falling apart.

Have we met before? Perhaps we might have brushed shoulders somewhere crowded. Whatever the case, you're here to investigate a possession, and I'm here to look into someone who could have become another child of the Shadow Fiend. Think of it as an enjoyable jaunt, with a couple of armed soldiers waiting to see the whites of your eyes. Should be fine.

Possession?
The rumors you heard were about a girl being possessed after she was mortally wounded by a pack of monsters. Then, her soul was stolen. That's not exactly what happened down to the gritty details. The town's ‘Liberator,' known as the Shadow Fiend by the Hollowborn, tested her determination to live. Unfortunately, she didn't make it.

Brethen
I and others like me are known as the Hollowborn. On the brink of death, we were graced by the Shadow Fiend. They offered us a second chance at life, gifting us new bodies and unfathomable strength. We are born anew, if we pass his trial. Failure means our soul and consciousness will be assimilated into the Shadow Fiend's shade.

Shadow Fiend?
I'm quite grateful to the Shadow Fiend, what with him giving me a new lease on life and all. He could be eh, more tactful but that's why I talk on his behalf. In a sense, you could call me his spokesperson. Don't worry about allegiances. Good, Evil, everything in between. All are accepted by the Shadow Fiend as long as their will is made of steel.

After completing the 'Eihwaz' quest:

First of the Hollowborn
Those Vindicators are finally making their move. I don't have a problem with my fellow Hollowborn who are driven by their loyalty to the Shadowscythe, the Rulers of Swordhaven, Legion, Nation etcetera etcetera. But there's a deep disrespect here, both from the Master to his vassals, and the vassals taking it out on others. Some discipline is in order.

You’re really good at sweeping people up in the moment. I didn’t think I would feel this strongly about pile-driving Mr. Gramiel into oblivion. Give him a good warm up spar, would you? I’ll figure out what trick to pull out of my sleeve.

It won't take long to track the Vindicators down. They've been secretive about the location of their base, I'll give them that. Thankfully, the prouder they become of their notoriety, the easier it is to 'join their flock.' A grand movement needs more people to make waves. It looks like we've found the directions… follow me to the fortress!
