These woods can be very dangerous to newcomers. I suggest you scout the area to get yourself acquainted. Be careful, the local wildlife is on high alert thanks to the beast. They will most likely lash out at you.

The Zweinichthirsch is known for disguising and manipulating its prey. There are some Deer nearby and any one of them could be the beast. Let's attempt to finish this right here!

Comparing Claws

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.
Note: This quest can only be completed once.

These claw marks that cover the area… Could they belong to the beast? We won't know unless we compare it to the local wildlife. Collect Claw and Talon Samples from the Wolves and Owls in the area.

We can say for certain that nothing local made these marks. That means it must be new to the area.

Because this beast isn't local, it must have set up a new lair nearby. Check that cave structure and see if you can confirm.

The Wolves and the Owls are getting frantic. The beast must be getting close. Clear them out of the way so they don't interrupt our hunt!

Not Deer Hunting

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

It must be close. Hunt down every last Deer in the area until we find it!

Monstrous Tracks

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

Final Blessing

If we are going to survive this fight, we must make an offering to the Gods. Collect Deer Hides, Wolf Pelts, and Owl Feathers so that we may receive their blessing.

This thing… It is unlike anything I have ever seen. Even the legends don't do it justice. This thing is true terror. No matter, this thing took my little girl from me. I will put it in the ground.

Drive Back the Wildlife

Requirements: Must have completed the 'Cries Investigated' quest.

The Zweinichthirsch is slain, but the wildlife remain frightened and aggressive. Help me drive them back so they don't attack the villagers in their frenzies.

Thank you. It may take quite some time for them all to calm down, but we can't let them harm anyone else, either. A couple of these pelts are usable, too.
