Lord of the Rains
Are you one of the Gala's guests? I arrived uninvited, unaware that Alnswick Castle was going to host Mogloween festivities. It was a happy surprise, and the hosts were kind enough to welcome me. My apologies… I wish to keep my identity to myself. My partner's family used to live here, and I wanted to see the castle for myself while I was passing through Greenguard. If you wish to know more about the castle, I am happy to share what I know.
Taylors
The Taylors were a noble family skilled in healing, beloved by the common folk for their generosity. Everything changed after two of its members were put to death for failing to save the life of a Crown Prince. Lord Andrew Taylor, the son of the executed, grew bitter and involved himself with the most sadistic of the nobility. They all disappeared during a banquet that was thrown for a King. That King was fortunate to arrive days late.
Partner
My partner is the grandson of Lord Andrew Taylor, the man who lived and died in this castle. Felix Taylor was born years after Lord Andrew Taylor sent his family to the capital. You may have heard terrible rumors about Felix. He was the Tyrant King Dethrix Drakath's personal Doctor and a Court Magus, but was blackmailed into serving him. We met after King Alteon exiled Felix, forcing him to travel across the sea.

It's difficult to wrap my head around a castle so large being meant for one family. My partner grew up as a noble, but I was born on a farm before I was adopted by my mother. These castles have contraptions called dumbwaiters. In a shaft that connects the Master Bedroom to the Kitchens, a box is lifted by a pulley system to carry dishes between the rooms. The castle has one large enough to fit several people.

The castle shook violently for a while, but seeing the satisfied look on your face, I'm confident that you've brought peace to the restless spirits. Again, apologies for my rudeness.
