The First Legion General
Lord Dage went off on his own, but your grasp on the situation is reassuring. We'll follow your plan; Round up the Legionnaires colluding with Maleagant to stifle the spread of the Light's influence, and have Arondight act as bait.

Is there anything you need to know about the Cocytus Barracks, or those who remain inside of it? I'm happy to share any information that will help.
Unrest
It brought me great joy when Lord Dage decided to try and maintain the balance between the living and the dead… but not everyone feels the same way. Scumbags like Vaughn only joined the Legion to revel in fear and destruction- they're the kind of people you'd normally find dumping cold water on the homeless. I let my guard down thinking they'd bow their heads after what happened to Laken. Maleagant wasn't the first to act out, and I'm sure he won't be the last.
Baggage
Unlike Vaughn's ilk, Maleagant didn't join the Legion to slake a thirst for violence and blood. Before betraying his Kingdom, he was once a Hero. Nobody bothered to look into why he suddenly handed its souls over to Lord Dage. At the time, considering such trivial matters was beneath him… but it seems that someone from the Light decided to take advantage of that. Take a look at Maleagant's profile again if you need to… every little bit of information helps.

We've searched all of the Rivers of the Underworld except one; the Acheron. That's Maleagant's final destination. Should he taint the river with Light, the Underworld will fall under its sway. We can't let that happen.

Thanks to you, Maleagant has been subdued, and the Rivers are calm. Since everyone else is too proud to say it; sorry for the trouble. If it weren't for you, this oversight would have led to Lore collapsing in on itself. You have difficult responsibilities, considering your powers and influence, but I wouldn't trust anyone else with them. Lord Dage would say the same. The path the Legion is on now…I think I can live with that. Unlive with it, I mean.

The First Legion General
Lord Dage and Empress Gravelyn! …Permission to speak plainly, my Lord? Ah, so the situation has become dire enough to necessitate my honest opinion. Great. One of the other Generals advised me that I was against raising arms against the Empire and capturing Light Elementals. Well, my Lord is wise. When this matter is settled, I don't expect to ever need to fight off my fellow Legionnaires like this again.
Legion
Every member of the Legion has a very small fragment of my Lord's soul embedded in theirs. It allows for greater surveillance, but complete control and awareness of every single Legionnaire at once demands too much from the lodestone of the system. This supposed greater Light Elemental stole a large portion of my Lord's soul. That's how so many of our Legionnaires are being turned against us.
Vendetta
I was nearby as the Empress' father fought the greater Light Elemental. It is as crazed as it is loud. Even from all the way here, I heard that it was willing to lay everything on the line to destroy Evil and avenge the humiliation of the Light. Did the Empire steal something from the Light? Or maybe, did it hurt someone specific? I have hazy memories of something like that…almost like I can understand it.
Clear Mind
A word in private if I may, Empress Gravelyn? You returned Lord Dage to us sound of mind and soul. Even if this is temporary, I can not thank you enough. Though the Legion seeks supremacy, having no equals leads to stagnation. To speak plainly again, loners are weird. They make bad decisions and embarrass themselves. Ehem, I hope the Empire and Legion's understanding could extend past this day.
After completing the 'Lost Light, Astero' quest:
The First Legion General
Empress Gravelyn, may we speak before the Legion departs? Congratulations on turning this ordeal into a victory for both your Empire and Lord Dage's Legion. We may not see each other for a while so I wish you the best until the Empire and Legion meets again. Ha, I don't sound very Evil huh? Well, one of us has to keep some levity around in the dark. Might as well be me. Take care, Empress.

This isn't Maleagant's room. A foot soldier allowed him to use it to…house a Paladin he kidnapped. I don't know where this obsession came from, but it can't be left alone. Be on your guard. Light Necromancy uses illusions and emotional manipulation to control souls.

Why would Maleagant go this far for Paladins who want to destroy him?
Cocytus
The Legion's barracks are situated by the five rivers of the Underworld. My own quarters are by the Lethe. Lord Dage usually decides where we're placed for different reasons. As for Maleagant, he requested to be stationed by the Cocytus, the River of Wailing Lamentation. Weapons fresh from the forge are cooled in its waters, and tempered by the wails of suffering souls. Maleagant always gazed into the waves so intently, as if searching for something.
Arondight
Maleagant kidnapped a Paladin, and was keeping him at the back of this room. Arondight the Redeemer, the lone survivor of a Legion attack who grew into a Paladin skilled in healing and repairing souls - even those tainted by Darkness and Evil. Why in the world did Maleagant bring him here with the remains of other Paladins? Is he trying to raise them as undead? No…these spells…he's trying to heal their souls?
Profile
I found a document in this room. It's a profile on Maleagant, likely written by a member of a Paladin Order. UL stands for Undead Legion, but I've seen others marked NN for Nulgath Nation and SS for Shadowscythe. Rarely have we ever retrieved a full profile in one piece, but Malegant's seems to have been sent to him directly. Take a look at it, and tell me what you find out.
After completing the 'Unblemished Snow' quest:

Where is Lord Dage!? You don't know either? Argh! Maleagant had a mental break, and is obsessed with saving the Paladins he apparently 'made' into Heroes. The other Legionnaires are helping him because they're angry that Lord Dage isn't listening to them. All of this was set off by a woman we know too well - Laken's daughter. You know her. This all began some time ago, in a Dark Fortress and the isles of Fotia…

The First Legion General
Greetings, Empress Gravelyn. The skilled blades of your soldiers made your title clear. I am Rand, the First General of the Undead Legion. I won't waste your time. It is in my Master's best interest that we cease all hostilities with the Shadowyscthe as soon as possible. I will even stall our warriors and give you information to do this. We are under dire circumstances, the Legion and Empire both.
Dage
Dage the Evil was once a student of the Archfiend, but opened his eyes and realized that Nulgath had ensnared him in a contract. Though he broke free, and wages wars with his teacher for the Underworld, his competency is constantly in question. Until Nulgath is dead, Master Dage will always be in his shadow. Emperor Seplchure being declared the Fiend's equal is an insult to my Master that cuts deep.
Elementals
My Lord Dage wished to crush your Empire to prove that Nulgath and any he considers his equal are mere insects. He even went as far as to capture Light Elementals, a dangerous endevaor that could harm the Legionnaires. My Master is the most powerful Lich in current times, so it shoudn't affect him, but… he seems exhausted. It's possible that something sinister snuck in with the regular elementals.
Mood
I am the first of Dage the Evil's Generals, and he listens to my advice. Usually. The timing of Nulgath's declaration was…in short, it's really bad. Though our bones can withstand the test of time, the mind isn't made of stone. Lord Dage has been in a low mood for decades. It'll swing upwards eventually, but these days, he's always in his forge, refusing rest, and acts erratically. My Lord lacks an equal that can sway him.
After completing the 'Evil of Humanity' quest:
The First Legion General
I knew it! We should have never fought the Shadowscythe over something so stupid! Didn't I tell Master Dage I would do everything in my power to keep the Legion from marching? Then. why did i go with Lord DAGE? I disappeared. Did that argument even happen? But why don't I remember…Did he do something to me?

Dage has ordered me to stand guard at this Temple for you, and it's about time. Looks like the Empire and Nation representatives were already making themselves at home. Normally, I would have been cautious about leaving my own post but ever since the ordeal at Ashray, Lord Dage seems changed. His grip on the Underworld is stronger than ever, and you are to thank. I will repay you for the piece of mind by serving you as I would my Lord.

Dage
As soon as Lord Dage returned to his Throne, he waited out the tongue lashing he got from the 'acting ruler' who took leadership of the Underworld in his absence. It didn't last long. She noticed that Lord Dage's condition was better than ever and they sent me here. With the might of the Legion at your side, this Temple will be impenetrable. Death will come for your enemies, be they Shadows or the Gods.
Balance
Dage the Evil is a force, one that is concerned with the balance of life, death, and Lore at large. Though many of our Legionnaires are uneasy about this direction, I am at peace. Since I'm his first Legionnaire, I'm privy to a number of secrets. One such secret is your…ability to 'create.' You need room for new creations, and My Lord offers his services in destroying the old for that purpose. Death and Destruction are entirely under his jurisdiction.
War Room
This war room was here before we arrived. It must have been used by Paladins while Termina Temple was still the New Temple of Light. After we cleared the rubble blocking the way up to the second floor, I discovered the ashes of maps and books. Despite the fire, this stained glass window doesn't even have a crack. I don't know the location it depicts but despite the gold and Light, it gives me an eerie feeling.
Challenges
The Voice in the Sea has been defeated, but the Sea still rumbles, unsettled in the Depths. Lord Dage has heard that something even more terrifying has been spotted in the depths of the Sea. If you think you are strong enough, go take on the God of the Depths!
