General Wiki Suggestions (we don't need a million different threads for small suggestions)
Hello guys!
This time I'd like to ask the opinion of each of you about a project that may be favorable for us but we will have to put in much effort to complete it. It's about an album of all the AQWorlds items, I know there's already an actual album, but I was thinking and I told myself that we could do better than that album and that's why I had the idea of creating a new album.
I mentioned this album to Tendou no Mazo, he didn't seem to agree too much with this project, that's why why I am asking for your opinion guys. This album might replace the actual album if we finish it, it's up to you guys if you want us to do this project.
What I'm looking for in this project is the best of the best, we have to give everything that's possible so the AE team can see the quality of our job and that the players can see the items in a better quality.
Right now with Flitterifie's help, we are starting with the Armors, first the female-versions and then we will continue with the male-versions and after that, the other sections, for that we need many people to support us. I hope you help this new and ambitious project.

hehe, that's kinda what my old pc used to look like. i'v always felt it would be a good recourse for us to have a permanent catalogue online like that to update pics if they die, that can be shared with us all. however, to my knowledge tendou made one. i suppose my vote would be yes, but only if there's something wrong with the one tendou made. it would be a waste to have two, and more productive to combine efforts.
As i said before, all you are suggesting is to create another wiki backup and start uploading all our Armors, Capes,Axes,Daggers, Guns,Polearms,Staffs (Here's the Backup) and some swords again due there are some bad pictures on the currently backup. You can simply pm me to request a update on such stuffs instead re-doing a whole thing because it will delay a lot.
Of course there are tons of updated stuffs but we doesnt need to re-upload all pictures again into a new backup due those pictures that's why i told the following here:
I noticed tons of players already changed some bad images to good ones and i'm planning to do the same on our wiki backup but using a diff way. Instead uploading every change on every day i'll do the following:
If a armor with Z letter was released i'll be updating only the Z letters on armors and this will work on any our section. It'll be easier for me :P
Hay, your suggestion isn't a bad idea but all you want to do is to delete the current backup (because there's no point having two of 'em) and create another one to re-upload all pics again just to update the bad pics/preview ones. Since i'm the only one doing enhanced damages it will delay a lot to update all stuffs due i'm still uploading our weapons, the longest list we have on our wiki.
(account deleted)We don't want to delete the current album, but I was thinking maybe would be a good idea, remade some images of the current album, for good quality ones, with almost same dimensions and same background, so there can be a balance and a kind of "perfection" in Wiki.
I agree the wiki needs perfection. This is a good idea but I don't think we need two back ups. Maybe just helping Tendou with his would be good.
I agree with them, because you know, sometimes some site might crash, and we don't want that to happen, so it will be better if we will have another back-up that is pretty safe.

Yes, I also agree that the wiki needs perfection, but we don't really need another backup, as Shadow said, we just need to help Tendou with his backup or help him with his other to do list so he has more time for it.
Since they're going to be on the same site, and the site crashes, having a another backup on the same site won't help. If need be, if Tendou has all the images on his computer, he can upload them again on another site, in case something happens to the current backup.
Having two Image backups, what backup would someone use to replace a image? I just replace a image using the backup we have now, because I knew where it was, where to go and found the image, just one image. Having another backup, which one would we use? Would we say that one image looks better then the other? Would we be spamming the Recent Changes? Going from one backup to the other?
Since, right now, its mostly about the armor and the quality of the armor, and the armor background, I think it would be alright if the 2nd backup was just for armors and armors only. That way, someone else could manage the armor images. Less time messing with the downloading, the uploading and the organizing , and no fighting over which image from which backup is better. Tendou would have one less thing to worry about.
I'll help with what I can, either way we go.

There is no need in creating another backup, we can just update the current backup with more photos so that we could cover every image on the wiki. I think all of us should help with the backup because Tendou is currently working hard on the weapon base damage and the charts.

I have a 1TB external hard drive that I can personally using to save all the images on the back up, while adding the new ones every week if you guys are cautious about sites crashing.
