Improvements for item info

Heya guys, I would like the info of the items(class, armor, accessories, etc) have the info when it was released, lets say X naval commander wiki page will have an specific date when it was released. Some people specially like me like to know then was the item released and its hard to find if a player will scan the whole chronology of releases just to find an item. It will be an additional work for the wiki members but it will give more additional info for it. Thanks.

Any registered AQWWiki members (such as yourself) do not need to refer to the Chronicle of Releases to search for an item's specific release date because you could simply check a specific page's history from the date of its creation via the History button located either at the top or at the bottom of each pages.

I don't think there is a need to add information on pages themselves.

Although Mash is correct on most items, some items had to be remade or otherwise are a few days late in being added to the wiki. The history only shows when someone makes the page, doesn't actually refer to the date released into game.

I would agree either way. It would be helpful when someone is looking at the information and comes across it, or are curious.

@Mashroam: I dont think it would be convenient if a person will have to create an account or sign in just to view the revision/history/date where the item was created in wiki.

Hm. Yea, I reckon it is a good idea if we add the date when an item/map/shop has been released. Given the fact that not all AQWorlds players have a wikidot account, they can't access the history option at all. So, I'm going to suggest that we apply Mashroam's suggestion from a previous post regarding the use of the 'mouse hover' feature. We can use it for items and maps, but since shop pages doesn't have images, we can probably just add it as a note.

There is one problem I find with the mouse hover. Everyone does everything differently. Like me, I don't mouse over any pictures or any part of the page, I only either, hover over the edit tools or scroll down, and exit the tab.

Mouse hover won't work unless they just so happen to move over the picture. Which is why I dislike the mouse hover.

Any info we want players to see needs to be out in the open or noted to mouse over. Otherwise, it would be hidden and less people will notice it.

I understand your point, but just like every other feature that has been added to the wiki, we can always announce this kind of 'new' stuff.

I know it will take awhile for people, especially non-frequent wiki users, to get used to this feature, but announcing it will most likely have a positive result and people will get used to it over-time.

I'm using mobile to browse the wiki; though few would do so like me, I find it impossible/rather difficult to use the 'mouse-over' feature just to see additional info. I'd prefer if information can be shown directly to all users.

Back to topic, I think it would be great to see the item's release date, such that you won't have to use the CoR to find each item's release info.

Edit (P.S.); I'm not sure if wikidot will eventually implement mobile version of the wiki but seems like the admin page and login screen are equipped with the functionality.

I agree with peachii, I do get on here with mobile sometimes as well.

I will say, announcing something like, on the home page, won't help for someone who say, clicks a link off the character page. they will be redirected to the search page.

I actually don't see why it can't be added onto the templates.
