I think I've found where it is! The Amulet seems to be trapped deep inside… well, all of THIS. Now all we need is some kind of tunnel to get us there. Capture a few of those Burrowers for me. They should do the trick.

Upon diving into the gray whirlpool, you'll find yourself in a clearing outside of what used to be the Queen of Monster's lair. You're saying this is where you first fought with Malgor? There's a Mumbler here instead. As well as frenzied mana leaking in from Lore. Further proof that the destabilized Mana Core is affecting the Timestream. We'll dispel the frenzied mana, and listen in on that Mumbler.

Hahaha, you're kidding! This is where it all started - The first of the cycles. Malgor didn't even have legs during his first attempt. But he wasn't trying to corrupt anyone with Shadowflame. Even stranger, Malgor seems hopeful despite his origins. To bring back his Creator, you, he was going to talk to Victoria. What happened to you in this first cycle? You're such an annoyance, it's doubtful you'd keep your nose out of everyone's business.

The burning castle wasn't here when I was looking for Malgor on my own. It seems that your presence is causing these different scenes to order themselves in the correct sequence. And, turning them hostile. The Shadowfall Warriors from this dead timeline are noticing us. Defeat them so we can listen in on what that False Wyvern is talking to Victoria about, or rather the shade of Victoria.

We're witnessing the end of Malgor's first cycle. Victoria believed what he had to say but he wasn't quick enough to stop Gravelyn from attacking. While it burns me to see my father's castle in Alteon's colors…you and Gravelyn being miserable over this destruction is making the experience very enjoyable. Hmph, if you have enough energy to snap back at me, then you'll pick yourself up and continue forward, yes?

The Wolf Cries

We've come across Malgor, in the form of a False Wyvern, being attacked by Brentan and Victoria's knights. This must be his second attempt, which didn't pan out as well as the last. These Knights are behaving the same way as the Shadowfall Warriors in the previous room. Fight them off, so I can have another laugh listening in on the Wyvern's misfortune.

I was too quick to call this farce the result of misfortune. Malgor is a fool. He actually thought no one would be suspicious of a creature they've never seen before. The fact that he knows their deepest fears and keeps warning them of disaster to come…it's straight out of a fable for children. Hmm, the more difficulty he encounters, the stronger he becomes. Interesting.

Breaking Down

We're in a chamber deep in the catacombs of the Shadowscythe Fortress. I remember this moldy rat hole. It seems that after multiple failed attempts at convincing the Good Queen to listen to him, Malgor tried to approach the Empress. Our Gravelyn is looking quite green in the face. We'll have to listen in on these shades and fight off the warriors in this room without her.

Malgor was subject to Noxus' experiments on the orders of his Empress. Hm, it's both something I expected and something that surprised me. Gravelyn should be cruel as ruler of the Shadows, but to this extent? I wonder what pushed her that far in these cycles. Malgor's creator…these shades speak as though they, or rather you, disappeared. They're not excited to have you come back either. Strange for them, not for me.

Talking things out didn't last long. We've moved on to a scene where Malgor is giving Warlic the thrashing of his life. The shades of the Swordhaven Knights sent to protect the Blue Mage are coming after us instead. Get rid of them, I want to know what Malgor was interrogating Warlic about.

I take back what I said. Malgor was stubborn enough to attempt to peacefully soothe Greenguard's conflicts over the course of hundreds of cycles. And each time, he failed. But, going through so many of them is making him stronger. As the manifestation of your negative emotions, it would only make sense that he would grow in power the more miserable he is. But his purpose…if not to save Lore in your stead, what would it be?

Ah, the Ghost Nexus located in Akiba. I did hear about Malgor making an attempt to take control of it. Why would I bother coming to stop him when I have you to do that busy work? Save your grievances for later, there is Frenzied Mana here as well. I don't know if they're a part of this dead timeline or if they're leaking in from our timeline. Get rid of them and listen in on what Malgor and Gar's shades are whispering about.

So this is why Malgor started with the Leylines. He wouldn't have accumulated power necessary to make an attempt on the Core. Not initially. It takes far less effort to spread corruption through a Leyline, with the downside being that the process is slower. I would never have guessed that he was such a bumbling weakling. It goes to show how far being a good actor can take you.

I've had my laugh. A full five minutes of straight laughter is good for the soul. So this is my throne room in Crownsreach, and the stain on the ground is what is most likely Malgor. There are Chaos Mages here, behaving similarly to the warriors and knights in previous scenes. You and Gravelyn can deal with them, I need another five minutes. Then, I want to know what this version of me from a past cycle has to say.

In cycles where you aren't present, fear runs rampant across Lore. Even I sounded…on edge. Oh fine, call what I said an understatement if you wish. The behavior of that version of me is unusually wary…fearful even. And it all has to do with the 'accursed dragon.' You. What could you have possibly done to throw everyone, even Malgor, into such a frenzy of paranoia?

We need to clear the air before looking into what Malgor was up to. And stop staring at me. I only feel loathing for that beast of a woman. Keep your pity to yourself.

I have no issues bringing that Dragon to heel to find out. With how you and the Empress feel about Malgor, you shouldn't have any qualms either.
