Hazardous Hybrid

I didn't expect the Chaoroot itself to gain the will to survive. Even though they lack a central nervous system or any thought processes, the Chaoroot Compound I created will fight fiercely. A fine achievement! Except they've overrun my lab and are becoming a tripping hazard. Cull their numbers, and bring their inert remains to me. I'll find use for those.

+ When Completed

It occurred to me that you might want Chaoroot samples as a reward. Eh, Chaoroot isn't so difficult to find. The other Hollowborn complained about the trouble they had to go through collecting the initial samples. I say they spend too much of their eternity lazing about. How they managed to become Hollowborn in the first place escapes me. You managed it just fine.

Experimental Cattle

Module 005 is my current subject. This time, the fusion of Chaoroot Compound and a pre-existing lifeform was stable. Its temper is the opposite. My creation flew into a rage after a single prod from my shock stick, and escaped from its cell. Capture it and I will reward you. I don't mind if you can't bring them to me in one piece. The lab has enough wire to stitch them back together.

Module 001 to 003 perished in their test tubes, and 004 took off. I haven't heard from them since, so I won't bother wasting manpower on a search. 005 still has temper issues but now that you have subdued it, taking back control will be simple. The nature of Chaoroot allows for the easy manipulation of such beasts. Hmm, it says a lot about the current nature of Chaos itself. Contradictory, I suppose.
