Following is a list of all tags currently being applied to pages. Join the AQW/AQ3D Wiki Discord to suggest a new tag.

General Appearance Tags

Tags used for appearance.

2diffweapons: dual weapons that have different items in each hand (i.e. sword/shield, book/wand, etc)
ae-staff: This item/monster/NPC is based on a (former) member of the Artix Entertainment staff _{(please note, they are still NPCs, and not the staff member's actual characters)}
aethemed: this item/monster/NPC is themed from AE games (the themed subject must exist in other AE games before it did in AQW in order to apply)
amphibian: this is an amphibian, or uses amphibians in its design
angel: this is or is related to an angel
animated: this item is animated (excluding pets and animations of eyes from the armor template)
appliance: a household appliance
artix: this is related to the NPC Artix
axe: this is an axe
backfollower: This back item is a large being which floats behind you _{(this tag is for floating riders only, for clinging riders, use backrider tag)}
backrider: this is actually a little friend riding on your back
backitem: this is an item for the back that doesn't fit the other "cape" tags (which are backfollower, backpack, backrider, backrune, backweapon, cape, tail, and wings)
backpack: this is a backpack
backrune: this is a runic back item (e.g. Aquatic Runes and Dark Rune Cape)
backweapon: this back item is a weapon on your back (swords, guns, etc)
balloon: this is made from, or is related to, balloons
banner: this is a banner, or gives you a banner
bathroom: typically found in a bathroom
bear: this is a bear, or uses bears as part of its design
bed: this is a bed
belt: this item has a belt
bird: this is a bird, or uses birds as part of its design
bit: this is 8 / 16 / 32-bit, pixelated, or pixel art
blood: this item has blood on it
bodyart: this armor, helm, or NPC has Body Art (Tattoos, Facepaint, /etc)
book: this is a book, or uses books in its design
bovine: this is, or is related to, a cow or a bull
bow: this is a bow weapon _{(Note, for bow accessories [ie., a bowtie or bow wrap], use the 'ribbon' tag)}
box: this is a box, or is made of boxes
broom: this is a broom
cape: this is a cape
chain: this item has a chain
chainsaw: this is, or has, a chainsaw
chaos: this is tainted by or aligned with chaos
cane: this is a cane
canine: this is or is part canine, or uses dogs in its design
clock: this item has a clock
collar: this item has a large collar around the neck
crown: this is (or is wearing) a crown
cutlass: this item is a cutlass
cyclops: this is or is related to a cyclops
cysero: this is related to Cysero (NPC)
dagger: this is a dagger
darkblood: this monster, NPC or item is related to the Darkblood race
darkeyes: this helm/class/armour/npc has dark rings around its eyes
demon: this is or is related to a Demon
derp: this item has been derped
door: this is a door
draconian: this monster is a Draconian
dragon: this is or is part Dragon, or uses Dragons in its design
dragonslayer: this is related to the Dragonslayers
dress: this armor/class/NPC/monster is wearing a dress
drink: this is a tasty beverage, or uses drinks as part of its design
dwakel: this is a, or related to a Dwakel (Dwarf Drakel)
dwarf: this is, or related to, a dwarf
egg: this is an Egg, or uses Eggs as part of its design _{("egg" was previously used to describe "hatchingitems")}
elemental: this creature is an Elemental
elf: this is, or related to, an elf
equine: this is, or is related to, a member of the horse family (horse, pony, zebra, unicorn, etc.)
evileyes: this helm/class/armor/npc/pet/monster has Evil Eyes _{(different to the more common "glowingeyes")}
explosive: this is an explosive device such as a rocket or a bomb
eyepatch: this item has an eyepatch
facialhair: this armor, helm, NPC or human monster has facial hair
fairy: this is a fairy, related to a fairy, or uses fairies in its design
fan: this item is a fan
feather: this has a feather or multiple feathers in its design
feline: this is Feline, part Feline, or uses Cats as part of its design
fish: this is a fish, part fish, or uses fish as part of its design
flaming: this item is on fire
flooring: this is placed on the floor like a rug
food: this is a food, or uses food as part of its design
forest: this is a forest
fur: this item has fur on it
gi: this is, or is wearing, a gi, a set of clothes worn by martial artists
giant: this monster/NPC is a giant, or the item is oversized as to be used by a giant
glasses: this helm/class/armor/NPC has glasses, goggles, monacle, /etc
glowingeyes: this helm/class/armor/Monster/NPC/pet has glowing eyes
ground: this is a ground item
guitar: this is a guitar
gun: this is a Gun _{(there are no bullets, guns are melee weapons)}
hair: this item is, or includes, (head) hair
hat: this is a hat
headband: this helm/class/armor/NPC has a headband
helmet: this helm is actually a helmet
hog: this is part, or is related to a Pig / Boar, or uses Pigs as part of its design
hood: this is a hood
horc: this is, is part, or is related to a Horc
horns: this helm/class/armor/monster/pet/item has true horns on their head or there's a head with true horns as part of the design
human: this is, or is part human
hybrid: a monster/item/NPC that is composed of (or has in its design) two or more other species (e.g. Koalion)
inscription: this has a message [translatable/secret] on it (example, Nulgath Runes or Hanzi/Greek/etc) _{(Note that the translation tag should only be used for the latter languages, not Nulgath Runes)}
insect: this is or is part insect, or uses insect as part of its design _{(currently, arachnids are also included as "insects")}
instrument: this is an instrument
j6: this is related to the NPC J6
jewelry: this NPC/Monster/Helmet/Armor/Weapon has on its design (or is) a precious stone or jewel
katana: this item is a Katana
knight: this item/NPC/monster has the appearance of a knight
lance: this is a lance
lighting: this is a light
lightsabre: this is an item with a laser-like blade of light
limbs: these items are extra, or severed limbs!
lycan: this is, or is related to a Lycan
loremaster: this is, or is related to a Loremaster
mace: this is a mace
maid: this is a maid or maid outfit
mask: this helm/class/armor/NPC is or has a mask
mechanical: this is a mechanical item/NPC (or has mechanical things in it if it is a location)
model: this is a statue or a model
moglin: this is, is part, or is related to a moglin
morph: this item morphs you into something else
necromancer: this is a necromancer
ninja: this is or is related to ninjas (excluding weaponry)
painting: this is a painting
paladin: this is, or is related to, a Paladin
parody: this item/monster/NPC is a spoof of a popular person/theme in the modern world (this excludes obvious mythological parodies, such as dragons)
pillar: this is a pillar, usually used to keep things up
pirate: this is or is related to a pirate
plant: this is or uses plants in its design
polearm: this is a polearm
pumpkin: this is or is related to a pumpkin
quiver: this item is or has a quiver
rabbit: this is, is part, or is related to a rabbit, or uses rabbits as part of its design
randomlygenerated: this monster is randomly generated from many component parts, meaning there are many different possible variations on its appearance
rapier: this is a rapier (a thin double-edged sword)
reptile: this is, or is related to, any sort of reptile
ribbon: this item has a ribbon
rider: this armor is a creature or vehicle that you ride (eg Dragon Rider, J5 Motorcycle)
rodent: this is, is part, or is related to a rodent
royalty: this is a member or a Royal family, or has a Royal appearance
samurai: this item/NPC/monster is a Samurai
scarf: this is a scarf
scar: this helm/class/armor/NPC has a Scar or Scars on its skin
scroll: this is a scroll
scythe: this is a Scythe
seating: this is somewhere to sit
serpent: this is, is part, or is related to a Serpent, or uses Serpents in its design
shield: this is, or involves, a shield
shelf: this is a shelf
skeletal: this item/monster/NPC uses skulls/bones in its design (Note: This tag only applies to skulls/bones added as a design element, not simple undead (e.g. Skeletal Soldier) or undead morphs (e.g. Undead Curse.). For them use the undead tag. If skulls/bones are added on top of something that is undead (e.g. Thanotops), both tags are applicable.)
sketch: this is, or once was, shown in a "hand drawn black and white pencil sketch" style
slime: this is, is part, or is related to a Slime, or uses slime (Eww) as part of its design
smith: this is, or is related to, a Smith (Blacksmith/Weaponsmith/etc)
sneevil: this is, is part, or is related to a Sneevil
spectral: this has a spectral nature (ghostly or phantom-like)
sport: this is used in sport
staff: this is a staff
suit: this armor/class/NPC/monster is wearing a suit
sword: this is a sword
table: this is a table
tail: this is a tail
tailed: this item/NPC/monster is/has a tail
trobble: this is, is part, or is related to a trobble
troll: this is, is part, or is related to a troll
undead: this is undead, or has undead used as part of its design
utensil: typically used in kitchens or to eat with
vampire: this is or is related to a vampire
void: the design of this item is based on "void" themes
wand: this is a wand
warlic: this is related to Warlic
whip: this is a whip
winged: this item/monster/NPC has wings incorporated into its design
wings: a back item that is a pair of wings
witch: this is or is related to a witch
wolf: this is, is part, or is related to a wolf
worm: this is, is part, or is related to a worm
zard: this is, is part, or is related to a Zard

General Meta Tags

Tags used for metadata.

armorcustomize: this has an armor customizer included with it.
bankgiver: this allows the owner to view their bank items anywhere and at anytime
beta: only accessible by players who created an account during AQW's beta testing stage
daily: this quest/item can only be completed/obtained once a day or is available only on specific days of the week
dragonlord: this is only available to those who have verified their AQW account with a Dragon Fable Dragon Lord account
evilalign: this requires alignment with Evil
founder: only accessible by a Founder of AQW _{(Legends who upgraded within the first month of AQW's general release)}
freeplayer: This doesn't have to be paid for with real currency, and can be used (or accessed) by a free player. _{(This does not include items given by staff (i.e. prize items), items obtained outside the game (i.e. items obtained from conventions such as Dragoncon), any verification items, or alpha/beta items that are only obtained through specific occasions)}
goodalign: this requires alignment with Good
guardian: this is only available to those who have verified their AQW account with an Adventure Quest Guardian account or are related to guardians
legend: this is only available to Legends (previously known as Members)
legendarea-free: This is only obtainable/accessible by Legends, but is not Legend only, so it can be used or later accessed by former Legends
parody: this is a spoof of a popular person/theme in the modern world (this excludes obvious mythological parodies, such as dragons)
pseudo-rare: this needs a specific item(s) or requirement(s) that is no longer accessible/purchasable in-game in order to access/obtain (this is essentially for items that are "fake rares")
ptr: this is related to PTR
pvp: this is anything PvP related
questgiver: this will give you quests
rare: this is no longer obtainable or accessible (by people who don't already have it/access to it)
seasonal: this item/NPC/location/monster comes once a year, every year (any items that have the "Seasonal Item" rarity also receive this tag regardless of how often they are released, such as the Superbowl items)
specialoffer: this item is only obtainable via an AE special offer. Page notes will specify
starcaptain: this is only available to those who have verified their AQW account with a Mech Quest Star Captain account
translation: this uses a non-English language in its name/description/art _{(This should not be used for Nulgath Runes)}
tercessuinotlim: this is associated with Nulgath's secret zone
upholder: only accessible by AQWorlds upholders who upgrade during the game's birthday month
vendor: you can purchase items from here
verified: this is only available to those who have verified their AQW account with an upgraded account of the appropriate AE game
war: this is a war, or was involved in a war

0ac: this item is a free AC item, regardless of whether you have to spend real life currency/money or not
ac: this is an AC item
aegift: This item is a gift from AE to the players
alchemy: this item is related to Alchemy
alpha: this item was only available during the alpha testing of AQW
bol: this shop or item is accessible from the Book of Lore
click2change: this item changes appearance when clicked
clickactivated: this does something special (aside from changing appearance) when clicked
color-shift: this item changes its color through a continuously repeating cycle
colorcustom: this item is color customizable
combat-animation: this item has a special animation during battle
equip2change: re-equip or re-logging changes this item's appearance
free: This item can be obtained by all players for free (0 Gold/AC) without any effort
full-color: this item is either almost or completely color custom
heromart: this is a Heromart item/shop
limited-time: this is a timed shop, or an item only available from a timed shop
impossible2own: this item has been physically removed from the game's database, meaning the item does not exist anymore
ioda-excl: this is an item that cannot be obtained using a Item of Donated Awesomeness
itemreq: any item that is required to access quests, shops, or to unlock certain items
mergeitem: items required for merging in a merge shop
lv-locked: this item has a Base Level greater than 1 (requires player to be above a certain level in order to purchase/use)
million: this is worth 1,000,000 gold or more
obtainedonce: this item can be obtained only once on each player's account
questitem: inventory items used in a quests
suggestion: this item was inspired by a player suggestion, and is noted in its description
temporary: this item is placed in your temporary inventory and disappears once you logout
unidentified: this item has "Unidentified" in its name

goldboost: this item boosts gold from battling monsters or turning in quests when equipped
repboost: this item boosts reputation gained from quests when equipped
xpboost: this item boosts EXP when equipped
xdmg2chaos: this item boosts damage to chaos monsters when equipped
xdmg2dragon: this item boosts damage to dragon monsters when equipped
xdmg2drakath: this item boosts damage to drakath monsters when equipped

evolve: this is an item that was designed to transform into another item while in the player's possession

mergereward: item obtained through merging in a merge shop
prize: this item was awarded as a prize in an AE contest
pvpreward: this item is obtained by participating in PvP (player vs player)
questreward: this is a reward from a quest
