Unfortunately, the PTMs aren't QUITE ready yet. They weren't registering toxin levels correctly in my last test. If you can get me some more supplies while I work on it, I'll be able to get it fixed much faster. I'll need some Purified Xenon - the Dwakels at the /crashsite use it in their own technology, so you should be able to get it from them. While you're there, see if you can find me a miniature pressure chamber, too.

Ok, let's do a test run of this thing. Go ahead and grab a PTM from the box next to me. Then head east of here and get rid of some of the noxious clouds and toxic fumes that are starting to gather. I'll make sure the meter is working properly, based on the amount of exposure you've had, when you come back.

Save the Creatures

Alright! Now that your PTM is fully functional, let's get you out there! There are a lot of forest creatures who have been sickened by Extriki's toxin. Try to save as many as you can. The flying ones… try to knock out, but not kill. And remember - keep an eye on your PTM! When it turns black, go back! In the meantime, I'll keep in contact with you through the PTM's com channel.

Clear the Treeants

If you head out a bit farther, you'll see some Toxic Treeants and fallen trees that are preventing us from going any further. Burn them down, destroy them any way you can. Clear a path for yourself, and the rest of the troops.

Excise the Infection

Based on what Brentan's troops are telling me, there is a lot of infected wildlife out there that's too far gone to save. Put them out of their misery, and collect tissue samples from them. We may be able to use them to create an inoculation.

Root out the Plague

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

The toxin is still spreading! Do what you can to keep it at bay. Burn as much of the blackened foliage as you can find - that should destroy any toxin that's still inside it. And take down some more of the Plague Spreaders, too. They can't continue spreading plague if they're not breathing.

Rally the Mages

Requirements: Must have completed the 'I Said Yes, Yes, Yes' quest.

I have a plan that, in theory, should let us get close enough to Extriki to fight and, hopefully, slay it. But I'll need a lot of magic power to pull it off. Head back to our camp near /therift, and rally all the mages you can find, then check the chests in camp to see if you can find any Mana Bombs for added power. Bring them back here to me.

Wisteria Hysteria

If it wasn't already clear how close we are to Guru Forest, it surely is now. Extriki's toxin has reached as far as Wisteria, and it has made its way over here. The toxin actually seems to have made it stronger, and it's been doing a lot of damage to the remaining foliage and wildlife. Just… take care of it, please? And bring some friends with you. I expect it will be harder to defeat than it has been in the past.

Please, can this be the last headache we have to deal with? We have bigger matters to focus on.

Ugh. Well, you guys sure didn't improve the situation any when you attacked Extriki. The area is completely covered in his toxic bile. Get rid of as much of it as you can - both the bile itself, and the noxious clouds coming off of it.

You see how the Plague Spreaders have those green crystals growing on their backs? I'd like to study them. They might give us some insight into how we can stop these creatures - and this toxin - for good.

I'd also like to have Lim run some tests on the wildlife out here. Specifically, on the growths that are appearing on the animals after exposure to the Rift toxin. Not all of the animals have them, but they seem to be fairly common in the Infected Hares.

Destroy the Zognax

Requirements: Must have completed the 'Sand Sounds better than Litter...' quest.

A larger and more… unique-looking monster has appeared from the Rift in the wake of Extriki's destruction. If we capture it, we may be able to get information out of it that will help us defeat Extriki. If you can defeat it, it may prove to be the key to winning this fight.
