We followed Dryden and his warriors to this forest, but the Shadows got here before us. Dryden rushed ahead in a panic, and both the Empress and Sigrid went after him. We need to scout the area for danger and find them!
Invasion
Thanks to you and Empress Gravelyn, the Town of Battleon stands strong. I convinced Tara to stay there. She was disappointed, yet understood that we needed someone we could trust to protect Battleon in case the situation worsens. The invasion isn't over yet. The Shadows that were summoned through the Eclipse want to take Camlan, the home of the High Elves. This could only be the beginning of something horrific.

Word of the Shadows' invasion has spread far and wide, and reactions are all over the place. The people are flocking to the Lightguard to beg for protection. With the fear of Shadows in everyone's minds, I expect they'll be well funded. It is also widely known that Empress Gravelyn played a large part in combating the Shadows. Many see her as a bastion of security. What will happen in the future, I can't begin to guess.

I can tell that she's hiding her fatigue, but she wasted no time putting that… thing in chains to get it as far away from you as possible. Camlan is completely deserted. The Doom Spirit took Dryden, his people, and the Kingmaker Blade Clarent into hiding. Both the Empire and the Lightguard will be carrying out separate hunts for this Shadow and their allies. I will return to Swordhaven to see if there's anything I can do to help. Should we learn anything related to these Shadows, we'll send word to Termina Temple.

Disputed King of Swordhaven
Swordhaven may still be in ruins but I can't afford to let Northpointe fall. Gravelyn was king enough to inform me of the assault so taht I could gather my forces. I don't know if she told Princesses Tara and Victoria but I don't suppose that matters now. I am here and they are not. We'll have to make do with the forces we have and they will have to be enough.

Princess Victoria and Princess Tara can keep their forces fighting for Swordhaven's throne. While they battle each other for power I command my forces to battle the Queen with you. There's little point in being King if the Queen destroys what little is left of swordhaven.

Queen Victoria may not be here, but she ordered Swordhaven's forces to protect Battleon. Sigrid is their leader, and she has asked me to assist you, my friend. Empress Gravelyn is using her abilities as Champion of Light to suppress our Shadowy foes. Even I can tell that exerting this much power is wearing her down. We must wipe out the enemy, and chase them out of Battleon as soon as possible!

Please don't think badly on Queen Victoria for being absent. I heard she traveled as far as the West Coast to assure the people that the Crown cares for their wellbeing. I don't think she'll be able to return in time, but has mobilized Greenguard's army to come to Battleon's aid. We will fight together and welcome the Queen with a victory! Then, you'd be able to have that conversation about the Ashray.

I renounced my claim to the throne because I was unfit to lead. There is a bitterness hiding in my heart, and I want to know if it's because I'm too ignorant of the places I want to protect. I'm traveling around Greenguard, the Yokai Isles, and the Sandsea to get to know the people, but I rushed back as soon as I heard you were in need of help. This reunion is a bit earlier than I expected.
Family
My family in the Neverglades asked me to return after the Mana Crisis, and I did for a time. Not long after, I had to leave to go soul searching. Home reminded me too much of Brittany, and how her dreams need real work to come true. I want to help Victoria, and it's good to see Tara even in these dire circumstances. I have something I want to return to her, but it should be discussed with both of you in private.

What comes after this? Haha, if I were to go back to being an optimist, I'd be looking forward to the sun after the flames die down. The storm will never end, my friend. If not Drakath, then it will be Gravelyn that will clash swords with me. At worst, I will need to face Victoria as well.
