Battle and the Beasts

Festooned in Feathers

The monsters have stolen all the Carnaval Feathers! Collect 12 Carnaval Feathers from the monsters and bring them back to me. Hurry—Carnaval will begin shortly, and we need those fantastic feathers!

Great job! While you were away, I saw a monster drop a Broken Carnaval Headdress. You should take this and see if any other monsters in the area have Carnaval Masks, too!

Mask your Emotions

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

These monsters really want to ruin Carnaval, don't they? We will show them! Beat up the baddies until you find 10 more Carnaval Headdresses. The Terra da Festa dancers need Headdresses to dance down the Sambódromo!

These headdresses are perfect for the dancers. But there are still too many monsters. What we need to do now is make a Carranca to ward off the evil spirits.

Crafting the Carranca

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

Carrancas are wooden sculptures used to ward off evil spirits. So let's make one to scare away all the monsters before Carnaval begins! We will need 5 Pieces of Wood from the Terra Trees, 2 Fangs from the Boiúna, Cuco's Claw for carving, Mulher de Branco's Hair, and a Horse Tail Paint Brush from Mula Sem Cabeça. Good luck!

Look at that! You have made a Carranca! All the monsters should be scared away by now. But there’s still one more monster out to ruin Carnaval… and you will find him under the Sambódromo arch!

Party Like a BOSS!

Branching Out

Torch the Torches

Explore Boitata's Lair

Reduce the Darkness

Grab a Tailfeather

Requirements: Must have completed the previous quest.

I may be able to create a talisman that will help draw the darkness out of Boitata. But I'll need something that could be hard to get - a tailfeather from Belo Passaro. Maybe if you ask really nicely, he'll give you one.

Scales for Feathers

We'll need to attune Belo's feather to Boitata so that the talisman will properly work. Go to where he is sleeping and collect some of his fallen scales.

It looks like Boitata DID manage to expel the source of his infection - it's that disgusting Infectious Shadow! Get rid of it so it can't continue to spread.

Regardless if you believe in fairy tales or not, the local stories and folklore here, well.. They're all here. You'll see Saci holding a spoon right now. I think that spoon belongs to a woman named Nastácia. He probably has her other cookware on him. It's best we get it back. Knowing our luck, he probably doesn't even have all of them on him.. We'll have to trap him. You remember how to do that, right?

Undying Rage

Hey Hero, so there's this ghoul in the forest and… it might sound crazy but… it might very well be Corpo-Seco. I know we were just talking about him in folklore but I did say there's been sightings in the forest, no? Would you uhh, go take care of that? Bring me something as proof so I know it's been dealt with.

Oh, this is a disaster! The Bicho Papao -Diego!- is destroying everything! We have to get that mask off! It's the only way poor Diego will ever be himself again.

Elemental Balance

Most elementals will keep to themselves. There are some though, that are very aggressive and will attack anything or anyone on sight. They will sometimes uproot rare plants when attacking. Take a walk through the Amazon if you like and see if any elementals attack you. I'm sure you'll be fine.

So you did manage to get some? Thank you, friend. I know it's a strange request but there are many elementals who stay hidden and protect the Amazon.

The Amazon is vast and beautiful but that also brings trouble. Bandits come to hide out in the dense vegetation. Most are just looking to make an easy fortune. They uproot everything in their path to find something of value, leaving destruction in their path. If you find anyone out there damaging the land, be sure to teach them that the Amazon is beautiful but also dangerous. Scare them out.
