Lunar Caustic

Dahlia shot off as soon as the forge's doors opened. Tara's pointing down the western hall. It smells smokey, which means there are Maleno Elementals around. We should clear that side, and see what Dahlia's doing. The Elementals aren't bothering her. If she's not human, is she one of them?

Looks like Tara's right. Dahlia isn't up to anything that'll get in our way, so I'll drop this brick. My gut instinct always tells me to attack, or else. The Planar Conflict sounded crazy. Maybe if I wasn't always ready to fight, there'd be no saving anyone.

I ticked Warlic off pretty bad. He went down the eastern hall to deal with the Draconians that broke into the forge. They came to help that Dragon claim it as their lair. Think Warlic would be less angry if we talked and got rid of the Draconians together?

I overheard your conversation. If you and Tara need to talk about something with Warlic, then Volgritian and I can go chase squirrels. We just need to seal the forge first, or that thing that attacked Thelima's going to catch up. Hm…I guess not knowing what Warlic wants does make me…sad?

The guardian of Maleno, Admin B, said the room containing the flames is locked. That's…weird. The key should be in one of the other rooms, so try pushing yourself up against their doors. While you're doing that…

There's nothing we can do but destroy the Dragon, inside Maleno's flames, and hope that Admin B is going to seal the forge. They told us the Fire Dragon's name was Idalion the Elegant. Remember? Tara doesn't like hurting Dragons so it's up to us.

The journey it took to get here, and the adventure you, Tara, Warlic, and I shared… Let's retrace our steps, and collet the embers Kolr stole from every mountain. Inherit the Flame of Maleno, Albedo, Citrinitas, and Rubedo to walk towards a new dawn.

The original Kolr's soul has been completely incinerated by the flames he stole from me, but his lingering will and hate remains. Lay what's left of him to rest, and you'll inherit my divine flames.

If I had tried to lend you my flames directly, there's a chance you'd turn to ashes on the spot. Slowly exposing yourself to them through the Magnum Opus forges and fighting Kolr helped you acclimate. In a way, Kolr played his part in protecting Lore.

The power went out, and only Ouroboros can see through the darkness. We're going to have to feel our way around, or follow the light from the Citrinitas Elementals down the west hall. Ask Ouroboros if he can guide us, and catch some of those Elementals.

Ouroboros said he can sense his brethren moving through the cabins… and something else. I can see them too. Blue lights, vaguely shaped like people pacing back and forth. Are they ghosts?

I checked the room on the far left. It's full of beds, and Astero's cronies are making a mess of it. There are other people in there, but the Matches' attack phase right through them. Let's see if we can get their attention after we put out the flames.

The red figures are Doom Spirits, like Dahlia and Ouroboros, who seem to be trapped here. They're friends with blue shapes, but those don't seem to be, uh, self-aware? Ouroboros said they're like visible memories, left behind to torture the surviving crew.

I lost track of Sigrid. She must have gone ahead of us. We should find her, and look for any other Shadows or Afterimages. They can't exactly answer questions, or even talk to us, but maybe they'll repeat something that'll lead us to Zigfried and Cassilda.

Captain Zigfried sounded a bit crazy, but I can see why his crew were willing to follow him to the ends of the universe. If someone made me feel the same way that Afterimage did… Is this why people keep doing horrible things to each other?

Look through the window behind Sigrid. I think that's the Cryostasis Chamber. She said a lot of the doors are blocked, but the one next to her just needs a card key. You think any of the Elementals or Matches picked it up? No harm in checking.

The door opened, and it blasted me with a flood of stale air. It's a good thing I shielded you. There's already a tickle in the back of my throat. Could be a bug, or a parasite. Back when I was, uh, big and mean, huge parasites used to try sneaking into my head.

Zigfried gave us a solution! We just need to find a way to get deeper into Carcossa to wake all of his Doom Spirits up. Sigrid said the east hall is more dangerous, but all the other doors are blocked. It's fine We'll handle any monsters we run into.

Weren't those Luma Lifeforms? They're evolving. Now we know that the Lifeforms are actually Doom Spirits Dr. Cassilda experimented on. They wanted to become human, but unlike the red shades, they were reborn as a thing between life and death…

Down the east hall, the door on the left leads to another room full of beds. I'll look around for doors or hatches. You try to listen in on those Red Shades and Blue Afterimages. Maybe they'll talk about an emergency escape shaft.

I couldn't find a way down. What about you? …The crew of the Carcossa were close to each other, but there were still people like that Red Shadow. Even if we need them to defeat The Law, they'll be the threats of tomorrow…

The smell from the next room burns my nose. Is this where Dr. Cassilda experimented on the Carcossa's crew? I hear creatures skittering across the ground. There might be a way down inside, but we need to stomp those bugs first.

I tried asking Ouroboros if those leeches were Doom Spirits, but he bit me for insulting him. If they aren't Doom Spirits, what are they? Hm? You think they could be normal leeches that mutated when they drank out of the Cryostasis Pods? Ah…

Ouro was bonking his nose against one of the monitors, and brought up a map. There's an emergency escape shaft that leads deeper into Carcossa. We're close! Once we clear out the Lifeforms and Leeches, we'll cross the threshold.

Normal leeches are a lot smaller, aren't they? What do you think happens if something else drinks out of the Cryostasis pods? Hey, Ouro just flinched so hard, his entire body curled into a tangled ball. You think he's okay?
