I first began to notice my father acting oddly when he sent his most loyal ninja and samurai to go ransack a village who could not pay their taxes after he raised them unreasonably high. My father would never cause his people that kind of hardship. Go to Hachiko Tower in town (to the right from here) and question 5 ninja and 5 samurai then return to me with their answers.

Since my father is under the control of the Chaos Shogun… then that means other Yokai have probably fallen under the same spell. This must be stopped! Head north through the bamboo forest to the First Shrine of Jinmenju, the Tree with human-faced fruit, and search for any clues. Return to me if you find anything that may be of importance.

The Tsukumo-Gami have never caused much trouble—until now. The Chaos Shogun must have put a spell on these Yokai, making them even more enraged about being tossed out in the first place. Rummage through these lands and pay tribute to the Tsukumo-Gami Shrine. Return to me once you have done so.

Are you up for a challenge, Hero? The only way to ensure a safe haven for the friendly Yokai — and the entire population of Akiba — is to hunt down the 3 toughest Yokai on the Island: the DaiTengu, SoulTaker, and Onibaba. Bring back a Talisman from each battle, proving your success, and I shall award you royally. This mission is only suitable for a few select Members. I wish you the best of luck.

Have you ever had sushi, Hero? Well let me tell you—it's delicious! Kappa Maki rolls are my favorite food, and it just so happens that the Yokai here have all the ingredients needed to make some. The only problem is… I don't remember the recipe! Talk to the Kappa and Funa-yurei near the river and see if they will help you out. They might not give the recipe up without a fight, so prepare yourself ahead of time!

The Black Tortoise's spirit is in danger! The only way to free him is by obtaining the Emblem of Longevity. Because the Tortoise represents the north and winter, you mus travel to the Frozen Northlands in order to create this sacred emblem. Collect Icy Amulets from the Snow Golems and Water Amulets from the Frostwyrm Riders if you hope to rescue the embodiment of longevity. Hurry back when you have these items so I can create the Emblem for you!

Did you happen to collect any fallen scales from Orochi? Legend has it that a master swordsman achieved enlightenment and inner peace by slaying the 8-headed serpent thousands of times … somehow. In any case, the scales of dragons and other legendary serpents can be used for many things, including weapons and armor.
